**Appeal for blankets**
The temperatures are beginning to fall, the nights are drawing in, and our cupboards are sadly very low on blanket supplies. If you have any blankets that you no longer need, we would be very grateful for them. They can be dropped at the centre at any time, as if we are closed there is a donation bin outside. The old myths about rapeseed being dangerous are doing the rounds again I see!!

It is not the rapeseed causing dangerous toxic signs. However letting your dog run through rapeseed fields is not advisable not just because of the fertiliser/herbicide that could of been sprayed on it (that would cause toxic signs) but because it’s a farmers produce.

Technically not my best clip, but I’m super proud of this one. When Coco first started coming to me he HATED the process. Together with his amazing family, we’ve worked really hard at making grooming something that isn’t scary or horrid. Lots of breaks, lots of patience, lots of love. Slowly he’s learnt to trust me. Today was the third time in a row that not only has he not reacted negatively, but he’s been really relaxed on the table. Bloody well done Coco 💕

We would love you to become part of our fabulous team of fosterers ❤

We are currently seeking a few adult only foster homes where there are no cats. We are particularly interested in homes with no other dogs at present (although would be very willing to chat if you feel your dog is suitable to live with a variety of dogs)

Some dogs may be too young, or are very nervous, or have veterinary or behavioural issues that need addressing before they can be adopted. Some dogs are the subject of an ongoing criminal investigation, so are in our care whilst the case progresses. With these dogs we will not know how long the case will take to resolve.

As a dog fosterer you will play a vital role in looking after dogs until their prosecution case is resolved or they are ready to find a permanent new home. You'll be providing all daily care for dogs in your own home, ensuring a safe environment that will cater for their individual (often complex) needs. RSPCA staff will match dogs with foster homes, and will give you all the information and support that you need for each fostered animal. The time commitment for each foster placement can vary from a couple of weeks to many months, with support provided to accommodate holidays and emergencies.

We provide everything you need, we cover all vet bills and travel expenses, and are here 24 hours a day to assist you if you have any problems.

What is required:
Secure garden area / outside space.
Ability to transport the dog to vet appointments as required.
Have lots of time and patience to give to the dog, without leaving them for long periods.
Have a willingness to undertake positive reinforcement training (with the support and guidance from RSPCA staff)
