With the snow and ice expected, the roads may well be gritted. If you walk your Dog on gritted roads/paths please make sure that their paws are washed either by walking them through a few puddles away from the gritted surfaces or by dipping their feet in fresh water once at home.

‼️ Every year hundreds of pets throughout the country become seriously ill and in some cases die because of the rock salt and antifreeze being used during the cold snap. Dogs and Cats walk through the substances left by gritters trying to clear roads and car drivers defrosting their windscreens and then licking them off their paws.

‼️ Consuming rock salt can cause dehydration, liver failure and pancreatitis, while antifreeze contains the chemical ethylene glycol, which can be lethal when ingested.

🐈 Cats Get Bored! 🐈 It's a fact that's true and especially for longer stays, cats do need stimulation! We use a variety of toys to encourage cats to stretch, climb and use those muscles and keep them entertained. Approved treats can also be handy to keep them occupied and make their holiday enjoyable. Fen came into us today for her first groom. She is a rescue dog and extremely nervous. Dany took the decision to handstrip her and not to bath her today so her experience was positive, she will be back for a bath in a couple of weeks to help her to get to know us better. #welfareovervanity #dogsofinstagram #doggrooming #reactivedog

We love dogs......it’s as simple as that, and are so lucky that we are able to help care for our furry friends by grooming them so they look their best. Did you know we do a health check on all the dogs we groom? Did you know we will advise you of anything we find that we think your vet ought to see? Did you know we are all qualified in Canine First Aid? Did you know that Jordan holds a degree in Animal Welfare & Behaviour? Did you know that Emily is a C&G Level 3 qualified groomer?

Jacky - Owner - Diploma Qualified Professional Groomer - I have been grooming for over 25 years and specialise in Hand Stripping. I love my job and now I have the extra pleasure of helping my young staff to develop their skills and expand their knowledge.

Emily - Groomer - has been with us for 2 years and came straight from College where she was studying for her Level 3 in Dog Grooming. She has been qualified for a year and continues her professional development. Emily is especially skilled with nervous dogs
