Budgerigar Society World Championship Show.

The BS General Council, in conjunction with the BS Club Show Committee, has taken the decision to postpone the 2024 BS Club Show. This decision has been made in view of the current Society finances and following losses on the Club Show over the last two years totalling over £16k. This despite the kind donations and offers of donations to keep the show at the Dome in 2024.

It is intended to combine the next Club Show with the 100th Anniversary event in 2025. Further details, including date and venue, will follow once the arrangements have been made.

Hi BS members

Member tried to book today via reception and was told a different price for next year’s budgie world show in Doncaster. I have took this up with the manager. However use the link below and go straight to the booking site for single or double room. I’ve just booked and works perfectly.
Please use and share to all our Budgie friends to help book their rooms for the 2024 September BS event. Any further issues with bookings just get in touch and I will take it up with hotel management. Single £87, Double £107.

The Hotel is no more than 400 metres to the Dome leisure complex, Budgerigar show and 1.5 miles to the Wheatly Golf club for the BS Dinner Dance which makes the Hotel central for the Club Show Event weekend.
Cost for the weekend is as follows.
£87 per night single occupancy includes Breakfast, Wi-Fi & Free Car parking for the Friday & Saturday night.
£107 per night Double occupancy includes Breakfast, Wi-Fi & Free Car parking for the Friday & Saturday night.

Please book your Hotel accommodation directly with the Hotel and as soon as possible to confirm your room for our Budgerigar Society Club show 2024 weekend.

*Important Announcement*

The members of the Club Show Committee are delighted to announce that our 2024 World Championship Show will be held at The Dome in Doncaster on Saturday & Sunday 21/22 September.

Thanks to the generous pledges of financial support from some members of the Budgerigar Society and with the backing of the General Council, the Club Show committee have been able to secure this superb venue for another year.

The Committee continue to explore alternative venue options. In the meantime, we wish to express our gratitude to those members who have pledged financial support in order for us to now be able to focus on planning a fantastic show for next year.

An official announcement will follow shortly from the BS office as part of the summarised report of the most recent meeting of the General Council.

Thank you to all members for your patience and understanding over the last few months.

While the Club Show committee explore other options for potential future venues, we have received an incredible gesture from the McGovern family who have offered a donation of £1,000 in order to secure The Dome at Doncaster for next year’s event. On behalf of the whole committee, I would like to convey our heartfelt thanks to Carol, Frank & Joe for this incredible gesture of support.
