Dear customers,
As a lot of you may have realised I haven’t been posting a lot lately on all platforms but that’s because I’ve been trying to sort a lot of stuff out with the business. Unfortunately after a difficult few months and quite a few different problems like the flood I’ve come to the decision to close down the business and look for a new venture. So I won’t be returning to Oakengates and I will not be staying in Madeley even tho both p gives have been amazing! Ive put a lot of thought behind the decision and tried to not let it come to this but it’s what’s right for me and the business so that I can go out on a positive. This does mean I have an awful lot of stock that I need to get rid of as well as a few animals so therefore I have put everything on a clearance sale with 20% off everything. Please PM me for the list of animals left. And any prices on items that might interest you. I’ve got quite a few second hand terrariums and Vivariums in a variety of sizes. As well as all brand new decor and electrical equipment. Substrates and supplements. The best way to see what is available is to pop in to the store in madely or give me call.
Thank you all for your support over the past year and a bit I really appreciate it. And a big thanks to everyone at the mall giving me a hand when needed and thanks to Nicki and Alan at Madeley for setting me up after the flood.
Thanks,
Ed 🦎🐍🐢
I love getting the baby chameleons to hand feed it really helps with taming them, this is the last female baby yemen chameleon left in store. So be quick!
So today I was excited to post a video of the new shop that I recently just moved into. Which is a bigger unit downstairs which took a few busy days lugging it all done but we managed to move all of the stock downstairs. And we had it looking amazing. So of course I wanted to show it off. But instead this morning I was woken up to a phone call from the lads in the café saying a pipe has burst and it’s flooded all the way down to my shop and they though it might be destroyed. So I rushed in as soon as I could, I get to the shop and unlock my door and I was instantly standing in about 5 inches of water. My first concern was obviously the animals so I did a scan to check to see which ones might be the worst affected and then I started to get them out. The two worst was a Leopard gecko floating on top of his plant and then below was the juvenile royal python who was also full of water and I couldn’t see him, he was fully submerged in the water still in the hide but luckily he and all the other animals were still alive and have had no deaths so far. I managed to get the animals on a rack for some emergency heat in the corridor where there was light and electrics. Then I started making some phone calls to see if I can get them out of the building and luckily the guys at Exotic Zoo said they were able to house the animals for a bit so Ryan came down with his car ready to take in some of the animals and also the few enclosures that I could save and weren’t drenched. So as soon as the animals are out I went back to the shop to assess the damage and even after it being fully vacuumed and brushed out, the water damage is all down the walls and clearly all the equipment and contents have just been ruined! All of my dry stock is completely soaked so it’s no longer “dry stock” but I can’t do anything until the insurance company does an assessment and then hopefully it will cover most of the costs. Just as I was getting excited about the Christmas period I’m now
Comes out of the darkness for a little snack. This is now the last Bosc monitor available. They do grow to a large size so research is needed before purchase and proof of set up that’s suitable for its size. Come and have a look !
Livefoods in store, collect them while they’re fresh 🦗🪱🪳
These guys are the funniest to watch when eating, always go crazy at the sight of tweezers. They’re baby Bosc monitors so if you want a lizard that gets big then these are what you want !
After many weeks of work and a lot of help off close friends and family, the shop is finally ready to open! Inspection is on Friday after it being put on hold due to the lockdown and then we will be opening the doors on Saturday the 5th of December.🤞🏼Please share and let everyone know
