How lovely would this be to have a
Local pet crematorium just outside Newport

Part of the plans at Happy Hounds of Newport is to have spaces for pet memorials to be placed
But I think a pet cremation opportunity would be a great addition to the services available
In and around our town

Wishing Newport Dog Park well in their planning application and future development x

The owners of a dog park have applied for permission to run a pet crematorium.

JUST A REMINDER, TO ALL DOG OWNERS.

⚠️🚙⚠️ Despite the warnings, hundreds of dogs in the UK die every year after being left in a hot car. Someone you know may need to read this very important message. ⚠️🚙⚠️

SIX MINUTES is all it takes for a dog to overheat in a hot car.

Your dog could suffer serious injury or die in a matter of minutes if left alone in a car.

• The temperature inside a closed vehicle left in the sun can double within 12 minutes.

• At least 75% of the temperature increase in a closed vehicle occurs within 5 minutes of closing the vehicle, and at least 89% of the temperature increase occurs within 15 minutes of closing the vehicle.

• Temperatures exceeding 104˚ F can lead to death or serious injury for the occupants.

• Temperatures in a closed vehicle sitting in the hot sun can reach 160˚F and above. An animal will suffer immeasurably and may die before the temperature reaches 150˚F.

• Even when parked in the shade, the vehicle temperatures can exceed 104˚C.

• Leaving windows down more than 2 inches on an unattended vehicle will not prevent a car from reaching extreme temperatures.

• Even if the animal is revived, they can die due to severe internal organ damage.

Your dog trusts you to have their best interest at heart ALWAYS.
Please don’t risk their safety.

If you are not taking your dog inside your destination with you, PLEASE leave them at home where they are comfortable and safe.

I’m just gonna leave this here !!!

If you know - YOU KNOW !!

* I’m under no illusion that muzzles are an essential tool in this training and that this in no way indicate we have reached the end goal

BUT ! I’m in control of this !!
I have my plan and I have my expectations set realistically

TODAY IS THE DAY

Monday 6th May
10.30 am from Victoria park

Charity walk in aid of the cinnamon trust

Suggested donation £5 per dog

I hope you will join Darcey and myself for this worthwhile cause

“The only specialist national charity for older people and their much loved, much needed companions.

Our aim is to build friendships with the owners who come to us for help. The Trust can then extend this friendship by introducing volunteers that will help with the day to day care of a pet when this has become difficult. Together we make sure that these little heroes who mean so much remain happy and healthy.

Nationally The Cinnamon Trust helps over 150,000 people a year with 158,000+ animals and runs two home from home sanctuaries, we could not do this without the support of our volunteers and supporters.”

Join us for The Big Walk in Newport!

Your support last year helped us grow in the public eye, increase inquiries, and expand our team of volunteers, ultimately allowing us to extend the reach of our services. We want more of the same!

We have walks established all over the country that we hope you can attend. If you are not a volunteer (yet), these events pose a great opportunity to come and meet the people who volunteer for The Trust and get a taste of what it means and feels like to be a part of our community. You may decide to become a volunteer yourself or simply show your support as an advocate of The Trust. Either way, we want to see you there! And so does our Big Walk Ambassador Darcey, who will be making sure that all the other dog pals are presented with their own Cinnamon Trust bandana, so we can all be suited and booted for another magnificent Big Walk!
