Our poor Bonnie girl can’t seem to catch a break! she’s gone in to see Naomi today as she is sneezing a lot of nasty nasal discharge and her tear ducts are blocked again.
It seems like she has managed to gain an infection where she had her incisors removed and it’s tracking up to her nasal passages. 😞she’s on the correct and strong antibiotics aswell as back on pain meds, she’s in on Tuesday to see Naomi again and hopefully we can get see some improvement and get on top of it!

Bonnie is a sanctuary rabbit here with us and is a problematic little darling!

so clearly there has been huge miscommunication between everyone involved and as we were told there was 70+ rabbits actually there was only 10.
Definitely makes a load more sense as a rescue is more likely to take 10 than they are 70. I’m still unsure what the name is of the rescue (s) they’re at, but as I said previously just fingers crossed they’re in good hands with an ethical rescue 🤞🏻 I only wish to know they’re okay.

we collected the remaining 20 piggies from our vets this evening, everyone has had general health checks and seem in suprisingly decent health bar being underweight. We have 10 boys and 10 girls, the girls don’t seem heavily pregnant but they’ll remain on pregnancy watch anyway.
One of the boys has a severe case of bumble foot he also seems to have an ulcer in his eye so is starting treatment for both of these.
everyone is pretty underweight, most were matted and all are In general just very filthy.
Vets have helped tremendously to get everyone clean, nails clipped and all mats removed.
They’re all absolutely terrified understandably but in time and with some TLC they’ll all soon begin to act like piggies! Nothing we cannot fix 💗
Everyone has been treated for mites and ringworm accordingly.

10 of these little bubs will be off to Bunnies & Piggies In Need Rescue UK end of this week ❤️

as far as I’m aware 30 more Guinea pigs from this same case are with coseley Guinea pig rescue and sanctuary. Unfortunately unsure where the other half are as of this moment.

Another thankyou to everyone who’s offered their help, we have received so many foster offers which we really appreciate. We are more than okay for any more but thankyou again 🙏🏼

Hi everyone. we’ve been told by some miracle that the 10 rabbits have found placements at a rescue sorted by the council who seized them, I have no idea where they are unfortunately but we are trying to find out and I can only hope they’re in good hands.
as far as I’m aware about 17 dogs including a further two litters have gone to Hilbrae Pets Hotel and Stray Kennels, we have had multiple people message regarding dogs and people who’d like to foster them so please contact hilbrea with your offers 🙏🏼. I have no other information regarding the dogs unfortunately.

We have still got around 20 Guinea pigs we are going to collect later today after they arrive at our vets and so we will give you a further update then.
thankyou so so much to all the responses we’ve had, we are still working our way through messages. Biggest thankyou to all the rescues who offered spaces. Again I will get back to you with updates asap as some of these piggies will likely need spaces.

Urgent ‼️
we’ve been made aware by our vets that police have raided a home and seized over 300 animals. 100 dogs, 100 Guinea pigs and about 10 rabbits. (Approx) I have no clue the state these animals have lived in but as you can imagine it is likely to be absolutely horrific, considering the fact they were all living in one house/building.

We don’t have a single enclosure empty but are trying our best to sort some emergency space, we need to try and help even with just a couple.

If you can foster even short term any of our fully vaccinated and neutered buns who are ready to be adopted so we can make room for even a couple of these bunnies in urgent need of space please contact us ASAP.
We have said a definite yes to some Guinea pigs however equally if you can foster piggies please let us know.
We need help 🙏🏼

we are struggling financially quite bad this last month, January proving to being exceptionally difficult.
General monthly necessity’s like food, hay forage and toys are costing us just the same as vets bills are at the moment.

Bonnie girl.
Bonnie had all 4 of her incisors removed on Friday, she had X-rays too and thankfully her molars are staying put and looking much better!

Her incisor roots were all very twisted too.

She’s very sore and not interested in eating much- understandably, she’s on multiple meds and is getting soft food too and we are doing our best at keeping her comfortable.
Her vets bills ended up being £420 for Friday, we are now left with minimal funds. If anyone could spare a few pennies for Bonnie to help we’d be most grateful.
Bunnies freinds are giving her lots of grooms and hopefully we will see some proper independent eating soon ❤️‍🩹
We just need to get her over her recovery but once she had done she’s going to be loads more comfortable without those pesky teeth!

Temperatures are dropping very very low particularly tonight, please make sure all your outdoor buns, pigs and any other animals are able to keep warm 🙏🏼.
fill their hides and house to the brim with straw and hay and cover anything you can to keep harsh wind out.

this sweet girl had been dumped and managed to survive over 8 weeks outside before she was found and caught Christmas Day.
what an incredible little bun, we are so glad she’s safe now. 🥹
