Some more FAQ's!!

How long have you been doing this?
I have been dog sitting and walking for around 3 years now and started just before the pandemic!

Is this your full-time job?
No, I do also have a remote job in digital marketing! I work whilst dog sitting and walking so will need access to the internet if I am staying in your home!

Do you stay in my home or do we bring our pets to you?
I have found that all pets are a lot more comfortable when they are in their own homes and sticking to their usual routines. I stay in your home and look after your pet exactly as you would which helps to promote stability and cause less anxiety about you being away from home.

Will you stay the entire time with my pet?
I work to whatever you pet needs! I like to stay as close to their regular routine as possible, so if this usually involves being around someone all day - such as in cases of separation anxiety - I will stay with them all day. If they are used to being left alone for periods of time throughout the day and you want this to continue while you are away then I will also make sure to follow this routine.

My dog has anxiety around new people, can he get to know you first?
Of course. I am happy to carry out as many meet-ups as needed for your dog to get used to me being around. I also suggest that, depending on the levels of anxiety, we go for joint walks together so I can see where your dog is most comfortable walking around before I take them out a few times on my own to get them used to the routine.
It is also very common for dogs to refuse to leave the house with me on their first walks, especially if you are still at home!
If your dog is anxious or shy around new people then please be sure to get in touch in good time before you are due to go away. Whatever steps are needed to make your dog feel comfortable will be taken but these can take quite some time!

Do you walk dogs on their own or in a group?
Unless you have multiple dogs who live together and are usually walked together then all dogs are walked individually. This only means more attention during their walk! If you do have multiple dogs but prefer for them to be walked individually then this is also not a problem.

Are you insured/DBS checked?
Yes to both! If you require a copy of either my insurance or DBS check please contact me and I can share these with you.

Can you give medication?
Any medication your pets require I am happy to provide for them while you are away!
The only time I cannot do this is when a vet visit is required to administer their medication, however I am happy to transport them to the vets for their treatments!

Do you look after other pets at the same time you are sitting?
This entirely depends on your own pet’s needs.
If your pet cannot be left alone for any duration of time then I will close my calendar off for the dates you are booked in for, to assure that your pet is getting the care they require.
If your pets are happy to be left alone during the day then I try to continue the care of existing clients as much as possible.
Please note these will be drop in visits/walks only. I do not sit for two separate clients at once as I like to ensure every pet is getting the amount of attention and care that is expected.

How much does it cost?
All of my prices and services are listed on my services page!

Do we have to pay for the meet and greet?
Nope! It doesn’t seem fair to charge people in the very rare instance that myself and your pets turn out to be a bad fit for each other!

Do you mind watering the plants?
Absolutely not! I love plants almost as much as animals.

Do you mind feeding the rabbit?
Also no! I will happily take care of any pets you have, including the fish!

Do you also look after cats?
Yup! Depending on the type of cat you own I can provide drop-in services to check in and feed them or spend any amount of time with them to keep them company!

How do I book?
Booking for new clients will take place after the initial meet and greet stage where this will also be discussed.
You can either pay me directly by bank transfer or via Paypal, whichever is easiest for you.
For existing clients simply get in touch for future bookings.
