🎇 Happy Chinese new year everyone! 🎇
🐍 This year is the year of the snake 🐍
So seemed rude not to meet one of our favourite snakes at Exotic Zoo 💚
It’s International Day Of Education Day today! 📖🎓
And if you know anything about Exotic Zoo you will know how passionate we are about Education… in fact… did you know that Exotic Zoo didn’t used to be open to the public as a zoo but only an animal education centre ⁉️
So what better day than today to launch our new and exciting ‘Young Explorer Club’ we will be launching from Feb Half term!
This is a free club for young visitors and schools to join and learn lots while earning badges and being part of a new exciting community! 💚
Special events through out the year and monthly news letters will hopefully help us inspire the next generation of David Attenborough’s 🐢 and Steve Backshall’s! 🦈
Keep your eyes peeled over the next few weeks for more information! 👀

After one day… Benji thought it was a good idea to go for a ride… 🤔
Dodger luckily doesn’t mind carrying the extra load 🐴
The elves have visited over night and the first bit of Christmas magic has arrived at the zoo for all to see 🎄
Santa will be arriving soon after all and we can’t have the big man turning up without him feeling at home!
We hope you think this will impress him! We sure do ❤️🎅🏻❤️
Don’t forget to check out our other posts to see how to book in to our Santa’s grotto and Breakfast With Santa.
HoHoHope to see you all over the festive season.
Rose and Lily have moved house 🤣 Come and see them enjoying their new space 🐒🐒🥰
Well it’s been a great week at Exotic Zoo and we have so much to tell you all but for now, check us out on BBC news 🌍
If you are thinking of paying us a visit this weekend we are sure you will spot these cute little super stars 🤩
It’s also the last weekend of our Easter activities so come and join us 💚
Well it’s been a busy day in the media today… and it all started at 5am this morning on Good Morning Britain.
In case you missed it 🙈
EXCITING BABY NEWS 💚
We had an amazing Easter surprise today as our Pygmy marmosets had babies 💚💚💚
Robyn gave birth to twins mid morning, her first ever babies… so forgive her if she is looking rather confused in the video 😂
She cleaned them and now you can see they are clinging on to her back with amazing camouflage!
Hopefully daddy will start to carry them too, returning them to mum for feeding.
They are the smallest monkey in the world so you can imagine how small the babies are… no bigger than a human thumb! And weighing about 5-10 grams!
In the wild you can find Pygmy marmosets in the Amazon rainforest in Brazil, Colombia, Peru, Ecuador, and northern Bolivia 🌎 You can spot them at Exotic Zoo in the Rainforest Zone.
If you are visiting over the next few days make sure you pop in to see them but don’t forget… 🤫 nice and quiet and no flashes if you’re taking pictures. Narration is currently turned off in the Rainforest room.
We hope you enjoy seeing them as much as we did 🙊
What’s going on at Exotic Zoo today on this beautiful sunny day?? Well check out the video and join me in the rainforest room today for an exciting new arrival we have been working on behind the scenes recently.
Please share and help us make Easter amazing 💚
After many guesses following this mornings early start, we would like to give a warm welcome to our mother, daughter duo, Lilly and Rose our Red Fronted Brown Lemurs.
This fell at a perfect time as today is International Day of Forests as we welcome them both to our Rainforest zone.
Pop along this Easter to say "hello" to Lilly and Rose and join in the Easter festivities Internationaldayofforests
It's another sunny morning at Exotic Zoo, and our Easter fun is in full swing. All this week, we have Easter chicks, lamb feeding, plant your own Sunflower station, and our Easter competition. Perfect for little ones and home schoolers wanting to avoid the half term rush. 🌞🐣🐰🐑🌻
