๐Ÿฆท Did you know, African bullfrogs have teeth-like structures called odontoids which they use to grip and tear their prey!

Due to their large size, these frogs can take on rodents, reptiles, small birds, and have even been known to be cannibalistic! ๐Ÿ˜ณ

But donโ€™t worry! Jabba is a super friendly and awesome dude! ๐Ÿ˜Ž

Good afternoon Nature Nerds! Keeper Jack here for another exciting and today it's this handsome little Hawthorn Shieldbug I found while working in our British Wildlife Conservation Woodland Walk.

Hawthorn Shieldbugs are our most common Shieldbugs and can be found across the UK in a range of habitats including gardens and woodlands but also grasslands, heath, moor and farmland too.

Shieldbugs are often called 'Stinkbugs' due to the fact that they produce a foul smelling liquid to deter predators.

Did you know capybaras have a symbiotic relationship with birds? Meaning they both benefit from each other! ๐Ÿฆ

You will often see birds perching on a capybaras back or head, eating any parasites or debris living in the capybaras fur ๐Ÿชฎ

Meaning the capybara gets a lovely groom, and the bird gets a snack!

๐ŸŒ™ NIGHTTIME SPOOKTACULAR ๐ŸŒ™

๐ŸŒ™ Experience nighttime at the zoo! The skies are dark, the lights are dim, the animals are asleep, and something is lurking in the haunted woodsโ€ฆ ๐ŸงŸโ€โ™‚๏ธ

๐ŸงŸโ€โ™‚๏ธ๐Ÿง™โ€โ™€๏ธ๐Ÿง›โ€โ™‚๏ธ Our Haunted Woods will be home to witches, vampires, zombies, and more, as you stumble through the woods, meeting our live actor characters along the way.

Knock on doors and get your โ€˜trick or treatโ€™ fix in the safety of the zoo ๐Ÿšช

๐Ÿ•ท๏ธ Visit our Creepy Crawly Cave and get up close and personal with some bugs and take part in bush tucker trials.

Step foot into the Nocturnal house to see our animals in their natural night time habitat ๐ŸŒ–

๐ŸŽƒ Pick up a pumpkin and carve it, leaving us with the mess, or take part in spooky crafts!
