Founded in 2011 as Telford Dog Walking Co., Telford Pet Services has grown to become one of the longest-standing and trusted pet care providers in the area. Originally focused on solo and small group dog walks, the business expanded under the leadership of Julie Mills, who joined the team in 2017. When founder Keely Needham left in 2022 to pursue a career as a Clinical Behaviourist, Julie became the proud owner, further enhancing and broadening the services offered.

Today, Telford Pet Services provides a wide range of professional, compassionate care for your beloved pet companions, including:

Our team includes Wendy, who covers Wellington with her expertise in dog walking and pet sitting, and Grey, a university student who provides additional support during holidays with dog walking and pet sitting; specialising in exotic pet care. We also offer student placements for Harper Adams University students studying Animal Behaviour and Welfare, demonstrating our commitment to nurturing the next generation of animal care professionals.

Julie, the owner of Telford Pet Services, brings a wealth of experience, passion, and dedication to her role. With a background in Health and Social Care, including degrees in Psychology and Social Work, Julie seamlessly combines her compassionate nature with her love for animals. Julie has expanded its services to include agility training, animal reiki healing, pet bereavement support, and small group adventure walks. A long-time animal welfare advocate and reiki healer, Julie shares her life with her beloved dogs, enjoying outdoor adventures, agility competitions, and creating enriching experiences for pets in her care. Her dedication to ethical, positive training methods and her warm, professional approach make her a trusted companion for pets and their owners alike.

Rescuing and rehoming stray dogs, Hilbrae holds a special place in our hearts, Julie’s beloved collies, Logan and Ziggy, were both rescued here.

Regular donations of food, beds, and treats.
Julie’s mum knits and crochets blankets for the dogs.
Julie was a volunteer weekend dog walker for 15 years.

Clear out for charity—drop off items for Hilbrae’s shops, and we’ll deliver them for you!
Consider adopting a rescue dog.

🦉 Cuan Wildlife Rescue (Shropshire)
Dedicated to the care and rehabilitation of wild animals, this local wildlife hospital is close to our hearts.

✨ What We Do:
Organise their annual dog show, raising around £1,000 each year.
Host fun categories like Handsome Boy, Pretty Girl, and Best Sausage Catcher.

✨ How You Can Help:
Attend their open day for the dog show and activities.
Volunteer as a dog show judge or sponsor a class for £20 and prizes. (We are always on the look out for judges, get in touch).

Routine and Socialisation. During our visit we take your pup outside to toilet, do basic training, play games and feed as required.
As your puppy grows we will take him on short walks to allow him to socialise with the people, dogs and familiarise himself with everyday sights and noises. At the age of around six to seven months we begin to move your pup onto the group walks so he can begin his adventures.

WOOF 'N' READY BEGINNERS AGILITY -
Hourly Lessons in group of four £10 (Payable in block of 4)

PET BEREAVEMENT COUNSELLING -

Well it's the New Year and we are delighted to introduce two new puppies to our puppy service.
We can't wait for all the cooing & cuddles 🥰.
Please welcome Pumpkin the Cockerpoo and Sadie the Collie/Retriever.
Both puppies visits are spread throughout the day to so they aren't left on their own for too long. They have toilet breaks, play-time, walks & enrichment and we follow any training their humans are doing to enable consistency. They are left to settle with a frozen Kong as their licking action is is soothing and calming for them.
