Happy New Year to all of our lovely clients, hope you all had a fabulous Christmas and are currently enjoying the snow❄️☃️🌨️
We will be closed for annual leave from Wednesday 28th January and reopen on Wednesday 18th February although 18th, 19th and 20th February are fully booked. We have VERY LIMITED availability between now and when we close - we have a few appointments available on Thursday 15th January and Tuesday 20th January - these appointments will be for existing clients only. Today we met Albi the 18 month old springer spaniel, his first visit to us but only his second ever visit to a grooming salon. Such a character but such a pleasure to groom🥰
Mum wanted smooth ears and his top knot only tidying as she likes his curls. She would have liked him clipped short all over his body and legs but we advised against this as he has a beautiful sleek coat which once clippered might spoil and grow back thick and curly. So instead we left his back and removed the furnishings on his chest, legs and tummy🥰

Today we met Luna, the 18 week old cockapoo who came in for a full groom ready for her holidays. Considering that this little girl has not visited the salon before she was so well behaved and took everything in her stride.
Congratulations to her family too as she came in in beautiful condition, all of that grooming at home has certainly stood her in good stead for her first visit to the groomers💕

We recently met Ted the 16 week old cockapoo who came in for a puppy pamper. This involves full groom through, trim eyes, feet and sanitary areas, pluck ears (which actually Ted didn’t need), do nails, bath and dry. Ted was a star and was so chilled on his first visit to the salon🌟

Monty is a long standing client, now one of our seniors and much loved by Lisa and I. Today he came in for a ‘summer cut’. Many of our clients choose to have a ‘winter’ or ‘summer’ cut, a similar style but slightly longer for the winter to allow for the colder weather.
As he’s got older Monty is less happy to be dried with our bigger drier and prefers a snooze under our smaller, more gentle drier - not uncommon for older dogs. His owner understands that our first priority is to causing as less stress as possible to Monty and is happy for him to be with us a bit longer for his groom. We don’t charge Monty’s mum any more for this, it’s all about making Monty feel safe and comfortable💕
