Pet Cremations

One of the hardest things is preparing for when you pet passes away.
We arrange for fully individual pet cremations for small animals, cats, dogs, birds ect.

All cremations are fully individual so you only get your pet back and offer with ashes placed in a scatter tube or a wooden casket, other options available too.

We can arrange collection from either a home address or vets.

Dogs are not left for too long as I am no longer doing normal walks. Only walks are for pet sits so we can do day trips with the dogs.

Last two weeks have been a bit manic with being called out to a poorly mare. Who own just need a second opinion as it turned out our suspicious were right and that she had choke. The most interesting thing was trying to find out what caused it.

After giving her the once over and having a chat with her vet it seems she has some gaps between her teeth. Which you would expect on a lot older pony. This girl is only around 13. So the decision was made to float her teeth to reduce some of the high on her cheek teeth in the hopes of limiting food getting wedged between the teeth. This girl has them checked every year.

Her bout of choke seems to have been caused by these wedges of compacted food that were getting stuck between her teeth.

If your gut instinct says there's something not right get it checked.

I am working on improving max's fitness as he hasn't been as active over the last 18 months due to me having surgery. We have now increase from walks to gentle short jogs. He's getting there slowly and is finally starting to regain his muscle too. Old dogs can still have good fitness.

A massive thank you to Ryan at choice hydro for another session with max today. As alot of people know max had a injury and lots two claws in 2018 and has since developed an intermittent limp after a lot of test and x-rays nothing could be found other than a bone spur so we decide it would be best to try physio and hydrotherapy to help with his pain and to develop his muscle further. Even tho he does alot of walking and is all muscle he still needs to develop his legs and shoulder muscle to help support him. He had a very good intro to the water tread mill today and will be back next week for more.
