Doggy Pals Grooming Salon is expanding 🥳🤩

I have been keeping a little secret from you all that I can now finally share. Over the past year I had to make the hard decision to no longer take on any more clients as my books have been at full capacity for some time, it has been really difficult telling new clients who have been recommended by you guys that I cannot take them on and also those of you who have added new pups to your family that I cannot book them in. You guys have spoken and I have listened 😁

I am proud to announce the opening of my second salon, Doggy Pals Grooming Parlour 😍

The new salon is based in Wellington and will be managed by my lovely sister Kelly whom some of you may already know! Kelly has many years of grooming experience and has trained alongside me in the past . She is very much looking forward to meeting all the new pups that walk through the doors.

More details to come as we get closer to opening day. But we are now taking bookings for whoever is looking for a new groomer 🐶 ✂️ 🛁

Following up on Fridays post regarding our t&c’s. Emails have now been sent to every customer. So please check your junk and spam.

A copy has also been placed on your dogs file with the date the email was sent. Just so we know that everyone has a current copy.

Thanks so much to everyone for your support and understanding. If cancellations at short notice for boarding continue then we will have no option but to ask for payment up front at time of booking.

Fingers crossed it wont come to that!!

POLITE NOTICE PLEASE READ……….

We seem to have been saying this a lot recently but with the summer period just around the corner, we feel we must reiterate this yet again………

1. If you cancel a daycare you must give 24-48 hours notice. Otherwise you will be asked to pay in full. The least notice we get, the least chance we have of filling that slot and therefore results in a loss of earnings.

2. Please do not ask to transfer deposits as ALL deposits are non refundable and non transferable. Otherwise what would be the point of taking a deposit?

3. Any boarding bookings cancelled within 6 weeks of your dog arriving are required to pay 50% of the remaining balance. A cancellation at 6pm the night before your dog is due to arrive is sadly unacceptable. We understand things can happen at short notice but in that instance you will be asked to pay the requied amount stated.

4. Any amendments to boarding bookings i.e only requiring 7 days of the 10 you booked will still be required to pay the full amount quoted at time of booking.

5. Please do not ask for discounts or half days, as we do not offer this.

All these points are clearly stated in our t&c’s to which all customers are updated with yearly. New customers these are sent to you at time of booking. So we would urge you to read them.

Please read all of the above, if you do not have a current copy of our terms and conditions then please ask. All current customers will be getting an email some time next week.

Please understand we are a very small local business, with it being just the 2 of us and all of the above has an huge impact and can result in loss of earnings. This isnt a side line, this is our full time job.

If the above continues to happen, we will either need to raise our deposit amount to 50%, as cancellations at short notice are not sustainable for us as a business. Especially coming up to our busiest time of year and also as we have a very long list of people wanting dates that we could potentially offer to should a cancellation arise.

Sorry to moan but these are really important points that continue to effect us on a daily basis.

These are our rules and we would appreciate all our lovely customers to stick to them. If an issue arises, please get on touch. We will always try and be flexible where possible. We are friendly and approachable and will always do our best to help.

If you want more flexibility with a cheaper cost, then there are lots of other daycare/home boarding establishments around, so feel free to go elsewhere.

A huge thanks to everyone to bought footy teams for the card. You are all amazing and we managed to raise £50 for Shelter (where everyone has the right to a safe home)

As its coming up to Bank Holiday weekend we thought we would have a little fun and do a footy card which we havent done in a while and give someone the chance to win £50 cash.

Its was Freds last day last week along with his birthday. So his Mom and Dad bought treats to share with all his Doggy Pals.

Sadly Fred who has been with us since he was 6 months old, hasnt been very well of late and sadly went to sleep yesterday morning. 🌅 😢🐶🌈 🦴

May we please remind everyone that same day cancellations for daycare and cancellations of 24hours (8am) or less are required to be paid in full.

We are a small business and once a slot is booked we are relying on your pup attending.

24 hours doesnt give us time to offer that slot to another dog waiting and therefore results in a financial loss to us.

The above information is clearly stated in your terms and conditions under the highlighted section.
