Hi my name is Zoe Young I qualified as a Veterinary Nurse in 2009 but have worked in practice since 2005. Several years ago I completed a Certificate in Feline Friendly Nursing and can now be found on the International Cat Care website listed as a Feline Friendly Nurse. I have always had a passion for saving animals since I was a little girl and started rescuing and rehoming kittens 10 years ago w

hen I started working in Vet Practice. Over the years I have worked with hundreds of cats both domestic and feral. Rescuing, rehabilitating and rehoming those without homes and capturing feral colonies and organising for them to be neutered and released again as appropriate to keep the feline population under control. Anyone who knows me will tell you I have a real passion for the Feline species. Many describe me as the crazy cat lady!! Or perhaps just crazy as on many occasions I have taken other animals home including stray ferrets, chinchillas and orphaned baby birds! My aim now that I have built my luxury chalet is to become a non profit organisation or charity to enable me to organise official fundraising events to help with the expenses of looking after the animals that come into my care. Betty is still waiting for her forever home 😔
She has been with us for a while now, and living in a kennel is no life for a cat! We are desperate to find our strays the homes they deserve, could you please help us?

Looking for a new home is this handsome chap . His name is Mittens. Unfortunately he is not happy sharing his territory with other cats which is a very common and normal problem and sadly its causing issues within the home . He is a loving cat and described as ‘regal’ when people come to visit his owners but living with other cats is causing him a great deal of stress. Meet pumpkin the queen of the cattery. This lovely girl loves attention and being around people, she can also be quite independent. She has been returned to WARS 10 years after she was rehomed due to a death in the family.
Pumpkin is a little delicate and can be frightened of loud noises and fast movements, both otherwise is quite robust. She loves strangers and anyone who is willing to touch her! Pumpkin loves regular grooming and would love a lap to lie on while the grooming sessions commenced.
Pumpkin is looking for a home with no other pets and she would be more comfortable if the children in the house were plus 10+.

Although she has lived a primary indoor only life she does enjoy ventures out in the garden. This is also important as she is currently on a very strict diet. She currently is very overweight at 8.5kg. She needs lots of playing with and encouraging to get out of bed and follow you around, we have popped Pumpkin on a gentle joint supplement called Yumove to help support her joints, it’s vital she slims down to keep her healthy and living comfortably.

Please keep a look out for this little cat, He has been missing from his home in Lutwyche Road in Church Stretton for a week now and his family are very worried about him as it is most out of character. His name is Lottie (long story!) if you think you may have seen him please get in touch.

This is Acer, he was a stray cat living on a housing estate in Ludlow. We rather hoped that Acer would get to like us and that he would become a friendly cat but sadly that hasn't happened. In fact he dislikes us as much today as when he first arrived in mid November. He has of course been neutered and chipped in the meantime (which probably didn't help us to win him over!) and now we feel he needs to find a place of his own where he can enjoy his freedom again. He is a big, strong, male cat and is looking for a new home as an outdoor cat living in barns, stables or outbuildings where his hunting skills will be put to good use. He will need daily food and shelter and will no doubt do an excellent job of pest control. If you think you can offer him this sort of home please get in touch. He is not suitable as a pet house cat.

Looking for a home specifically for Harriet the amputee. She is the only kitten ready at present. All my others are not available for viewing at this time. Harriet is a sweet little girl who is growing in confidence daily. She has had a rough start to life with losing her leg and running into post op complications with infection. However She is now fighting fit and boinging around like tigger on her 3 legs. She will make such a lovely pet for the right person.

Zoomies before breakfast ! I’ve had a couple of enquiries so far for her which is fab . But hoping to get her into a home asap now bless her as she’s crying at night . Ideally looking for a cat free household for her.

Wobble bobble has joined me in the summer house this afternoon. She is such a happy little cat. Still looking for that special person to adopt her. Her neuro issues are mild in comparison to others I have met and i see no reason for them to affect her quality of life at all. She’s a dream to look after .

Wobble bobble might be wobbly but Iv got to be honest and say she’s the kitten that’s the least maintenance I have here!! Using the tray perfect and solid poop. Despite her wobbly head the food for the best part stays in the bowl. And she keeps her cage tidy! She just needs to gain a bit of condition as she’s super skinny. She’s been wormed , deflead and been treated for ticks .

Food time for wobble bobble ! I think the exaggerated frantic issues are partly down to the fact she is starving and unfamiliar with her surroundings. She could smell it but struggled to locate it initially .

Unexpected new arrival this afternoon. We’ve called her wobble bobble on the basis she’s got a neurological problem and wobbly . She is very sweet. Covered in ticks and very underweight. I will keep a close eye on her and see how she goes . It is likely she was born with this issue rather than than the result of brain trauma. Ultimately she will,all being well be looking for a dedicated owner who can cope with a messy eater,a flicker of cat litter and essentially a clumsy cat. She would need to be the only cat within the household. She will need to be predominantly a house cat but could go out into a safe garden under close supervision. Given that she has come from a rural location and born to a feral mum I think it’s important she can get outside to ensure she is fully enriched. I have met cats like her a few times before and many of them go on to live long and happy lives.

Leo is here and looking for someone to treat him like a prince. He needs a nice home where he doesn’t have to share his attention with anyone else . He didn’t cope well as part of a multi cat household . He hasn’t put a foot wrong in the catery and has adapted to being here really well.
