Did you know that allowing your dogs nails to grow too long can have a massive impact on their well being?
A dog's nails are too long if they touch the ground or if you can hear them click on the floor. You can see in the diagram below how long nails alters the natural position of the toes. This in turn could cause them to shift their weight to their back end and cause other pains in their body, along with painful feet.
Also, having nails that are too long can increase a dog's chances of getting them caught or snagged which can rip the nail off or break them at low level.
Regular nail cutting will also help retract long quicks.
All our full grooms include nail care, but we can also offer appointments for just nail cutting if necessary.

Gorgeous Pickle came to see us for her regular grooming appointment - and a play afterwards!

We are proud to announce that we will become part of Green Groomers Collective in the coming weeks! Becoming part of this scheme means that all the dog hair we clip off will be recycled and not sent to landfill. All the hair that goes to landfill contributes to the rising levels of methane in the atmosphere. This is one way, we as groomers, can help our planet. We already use gentle shampoos to help, but by making this change, feel that we are contributing and doing our part. We hope you agree that this is a very worthwhile scheme to be part of. We would love to have all our wonderful customers on board, so in the coming weeks we will be asking you for just £1 each groom to help cover the cost of sending your dogs hair to be recycled instead of landfill. We hope you will help us to help the planet. 🐾

Gorgeous Diesel was welcomed into the Salon this week to have a lovely scrub in the bath and a jolly good deshed. He was such a delightful little chap and behaved impeccably. πŸΎπŸ›πŸ«§

The gorgeous May came to visit us recently for her tidy up. She was such a joy to have in the salon and we spent the morning swooning over her 😍 look at that waggy tail!
