Meet Lou Lou. ๐๐ฑ
Lou Lou came to see us at our Bishops Cleeve clinic after her owner noticed her vomiting, excessive drooling and lots of gulping since being outside. ๐ฆ
After a thorough examination, it was decided that we sedated Lou Lou to have a really good look to see what the problem was.
Look at the video below to see the huge lads of grass we found stuck in her throat! ๐ฑ ๐
Lou Lou now feels so much better and is back to her normal self. Fantastic job team! ๐๐ป๐๐
Our Vet, Claire is out and about in our Mobile Clinic today doing home visits! ๐๐พ

Rhinoscopy
As most of you are aware, it is Grass seed season. ๐
This is a video of our Vet Brad perfroming a rhinoscopy (placing a camera up the nose) on a dog who had been sneezing, and you'll never guess what he found...โฌ๐ฆ๐
Just a quick reminder after your pets have been out in the long grass to check for their coat, underneath the legs, toes, eyes, ears and of course the nose. ๐ถ๐ฑ๐พ

This is a Aural haemotoma on a poor spaniels ear ๐ ๐พ
This chaps ear had sadly filled with a bloody fluid - this can happen either because of a ear infection or due to trauma. (See how swollen his ear is in the video)
Our vet Sarah made a incision in the ear and drained the blood. Sarah then placed little drains to prevent the ear re-filling.
This lovely spaniel is recovering very well, he was such a brave boy ๐๐พ
How to get your pup used to Vets visits! ๐
โฌ๏ธSee video below to see our nurse Lotte explaining how you can โVet Proofโ your puppy by checking their eyes, ears, teeth, paws and skin and placing them on a high service so itโs not so scary for them.
This is something Lotte and our behaviourist Nurse Zoe discuss in our puppy parties which run two Mondayโs a month at our Tewkesbury, Walton Cardiff clinic. ๐พ
Ps. Isnโt Twiggy our model adorable ๐ฅฐ?
Meet Dotty ๐พ ๐ฑ
Poor Dotty came to us not eating, vomiting and general lethargy. Dotty had a blood test which showed that her white blood cell count was low and this indicated there could be an infection somewhere.
With intense nursing care, monitoring, intravenous fluid therapy and antibiotics she seemed to perk up and slowly started to eat again (as you can see in the video) ๐ฉ๐ปโโ๏ธ ๐จ๐ปโโ๏ธ
It is so rewarding when you see a poorly patient start to get better even if itโs just eating a little bit of chicken ๐
Dotty is now absolutely fine and is back to her normal self ๐พ
Meet Luna ๐พ
Luna came to our Walton Cardiff clinic today as she decided to stick her head in something she shouldnโt have and ended up with a fish hook in her nose (looking a bit like a nose piercing!)
This resulted in poor Luna to be sedated for our vet Brad to remove the fish hook from her nose. ๐จ
Luckily for Luna she is absolutely fine and Brad our vet removed it with no trouble.๐
See video below โฌ๏ธ
Did you know we offer Laparoscopic Speysโ๏ธ
A Laparoscopic Spey is a minimally invasive technique to neuter female dogs via keyhole surgery.
The post operative recovery is much quicker and generally more comfortable for our fluffy friends.
We offer this service at our Walton Cardiff, Bishops Cleeve and Leckhampton clinics.
See the video below where our vet Brad explains more about this technique ๐พ
Please give us a call at one of our branches to speak to a member of our team for more information โน๏ธ ๐
Donโt forget we offer a bespoke home visit service where our lovely vet Sarah and wonderful veterinary nurse Nicki will come to your home and provide the great same care and attention to your pet but in the comfort of your own home ๐
You may spot them in and around the Tewkesbury, Bishops Cleeve or Cheltenham area - if you see them give them a wave ๐๐ผ
Please call us on 01684 292244 / 01242 679880 to speak to a member of our team for more information ๐ ๐พ .

Cats are creatures of habit, and they HATE it when their routines change - like when it gets too cold to go outside! Here are some handy hints to help keep your cat happy until spring.
Fleas can be so tricky to shift once theyโve found their way onto your pet and into your home, so prevention really is better than cure. The majority of their life-cycle is spent in the environment as eggs, larvae and pupae. They will be in your carpets and below skirtings just waiting to rear their ugly heads, even months later.
A prescription flea treatment is your best form of defence, usually alongside environmental treatment. Ask us for more info.
