We would like to send our deepest sympathies to the whole team and family at Bogenraith Equestrian we are sending you all our love and strength ❤️❤️❤️❤️😞 Jemma Docherty

Ciaran, Liam, Orla, and Emer along with all the team at Bogenraith Equestrian and The Fern Restaurant would like to sincerely thank you all for your kind words and messages over the past few days, it has been and will continue to be very difficult without Marion in our lives. Marion would be humbled to see all the supportive and positive comments you have all made and how she touched the lives of those who knew her.

As of today 16th January, Bogenraith Equestrian and The Fern Restaurant will re-open to the public. Training, coaching, arena hires etc are now available again as this is what Marion would wish to see.

Marion’s funeral will take place on Thursday 30th January with a service at Baldarroch, Crathes AB31 5JL with arrival from 11.30am and service starting at 12.00 noon. After the service, Marion’s removal to Bogenraith Equestrian where her burial will take place and she is laid to rest. We would invite all who attend to remain at Bogenraith for refreshments after the funeral, and share our memories of an amazing woman.

If you would like to honour Marion as a horse mounted guard of honour during her entrance to Bogenraith, please contact [email protected] to be included, all are welcome to participate in showing their respect from the equestrian community.

Family flowers only, but donations are welcome for Friends of Anchor with donation box at both Baldarroch and Bogenraith Equestrian.

As a continued mark of respect it is only appropriate that competitive events do not take place until after the 30th January. The first event to take place will therefore be Brittish Dressage on 2nd February.

🦠With a number of reported cases of Strangles in the area I just wanted to share with you all my biosecurity policy🦠

Your horse's safety is a priority of mine. I want to keep training and to do this I need to ensure the safety of all of your horses, including my own 🐴

⚠️ I will always ask that I am made aware of any horse suffering from an infectious disease (suspected or confirmed) so that I can reschedule your appointment. This includes not only the horse I am training, but others on the same yard too

⚠️ This goes without saying, but if any horse on the yard has Strangles, shows symptoms, or is awaiting test results I will not attend under any circumstances

✋️ I only ever touch the horse I am training

🧴 I use Equine Bio Genie between clients for my clothes, coat and boots - this disinfectant is proven to eradicate Equine specific diseases including Strangles, EHV and ringworm

🧤 I wear a clean pair of gloves for each client,
these are disinfected and washed after each use

🫧 I sanitise any equipment I use between clients

💗 This is an uncertain and daunting time for us all. If you would rather me not attend at this time, I will completely understand and we can postpone to a later date 🗓
