As of the 1st of June there will sadly have to be some price increases. The cost of materials has gone up drastically and I need to adjust my prices accordingly. I will talk to you at your appointments to let you know of any increase.

To all my clients,

Can I please ask that invoices are paid upon receipt. Cash payments to be at the time of the appointment.
For clients not on a regular cycle booked in, please allow at least two weeks notice to book in for appointments to avoid disappointment.
In the event of an emergency or problem I will try my best to get to you at the earliest opportunity as always.

A Dressage horse that suffers from collapsed heels and long toe growth. The toes are dressed back regularly to reduce the pressure on the heels and previously a spider bar welded into the shoe. Now with the creation of the new Jim Blurton pads, that sit under the shoe with some impression material between the hoof frog, sole and pads. She’s now dancing round better than ever. 🤩

Here’s a recent horse that has lost all of its good hoof wall when stamping at the flies and removing his hind shoe. A total good wall rebuild was required to enable the shoe to be replaced.

A message to my clients at this unprecedented time

During these difficult times I am following the advice of the FRC and the WCF, and of course the government.

At present I will continue to shoe as normal and honour appointments booked in. Please be patient if i need to make changes so to accommodate everyone. I may, where possible try and bring appointments forward if a total lockdown is imminent but the diary is pretty booked up and may be utilising the extra daylight to do this so some appointments may be very early or quite late.

As long as your horse is ok I’m happy to help myself as long as they are in the stable and easily accessible and good to catch. I will be following the social distancing guidelines and expect my clients to do the same. There is no need for me to have any human contact or close interaction when going about my daily rounding.

Until it is illegal for me to carry on my business I will on the grounds of animal welfare. If I develop symptoms of course I will have to stop for a while.
