If there’s one thing dogs teach us, it’s that the things we stress 🤯 about don’t always matter. While we’re still cringing every time we pull up to a client’s address in our caravan 🙈 (yes, the insurance claim saga for our mobile grooming unit is 𝗦𝗧𝗜𝗟𝗟 dragging on 🙄), like all the other dogs we see - Teddie and Bonnie couldn’t care less! They’re here for the cuddles, the care, and the pooch pampering they’ve come to know and love and that’s all that counts. 🥰

Seeing their happy faces as they greet us and how eager they are to hop on board fills us with so much pride. It’s a reminder of how far we’ve come, creating a grooming experience where dogs feel safe, loved, and excited to visit. 🙌

We might not have our shiny grooming trailer back on the road 𝙮𝙚𝙩 (one day, we promise!), but moments like these show us that what we do have is still something kinda special 🥰 - the calm, reassurance, and positive experience we create for every dog. And no fancy setup can replace that

So in the meantime, we’ll keep focusing on the wagging tails and happy faces whilst the humans sort out the rest so we can have smart wheels again! 🐾❤️

Say hello to Roscoe 🐶, a sweet little Cavapoo with a heart of gold who is a bit shy when it comes to grooming. 🐶 Roscoe isn’t a fan of busy environments or being around lots of other dogs, so the hustle and bustle of bigger salons just wasn’t for him. 🫣

At Paw Central 🐾, we pride ourselves on creating a calm, personalised experience for every dog. 🫶 For Roscoe, that meant starting with a few short, gentle training sessions 🪮✂🚿 to build his confidence. Now, he’s a regular visitor who’s loving his grooming routine and we couldn’t be prouder of how far he’s come! 🥰

One of the many benefits of our smaller, one-to-one setting over larger commercial outfits, is the undivided attention we can offer every four pawed guest. 🎯 We tailor each session to their individual needs, ensuring they feel safe, relaxed, and cared for. Say hello to 𝙏𝙖𝙛𝙛𝙮, the adorable Cavapoochon who recently joined us for her very first introduction to grooming puppy session with Clive! 🐶 She took everything in her stride, and we couldn’t be prouder of how well she did. Isn’t she just the cutest? 🥰

At 𝗔𝟮𝗕 𝗚𝗿𝗼𝗼𝗺𝗲𝗿𝘀 @ 𝗣𝗮𝘄 𝗖𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗿𝗮𝗹, we believe that every puppy deserves a positive and tailored introduction to grooming. 🫶🏻

Here’s what you can expect during these special sessions designed to ease your pup into the grooming world:

🐾 𝙎𝙩𝙚𝙥-𝙗𝙮-𝙨𝙩𝙚𝙥 𝙥𝙧𝙤𝙜𝙧𝙚𝙨𝙨: Across three sessions, your puppy will go from exploring the environment to experiencing a light groom. By the final session, most puppies are ready for a full groom – but every pup sets their own pace, and we adjust accordingly.

🐾 𝗠𝗶𝗹𝗼’𝘀 𝗳𝗶𝗿𝘀𝘁 𝗴𝗿𝗼𝗼𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘀𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻! 🐾

We recently saw Milo for his very first full grooming 🪮 session after his puppy intro, and what a little superstar he was! 🌟 He still needs to learn that scissors aren’t for kissing 🤭 but we’ll gently shape that behaviour over future sessions and overall, he handled everything brilliantly! He’s looking very smart already, even if his head still needs a bit more work. 🙃

But ✋ baby steps 👣

Grooming isn’t just about getting your dog looking great—it’s about helping them feel 𝗰𝗮𝗹𝗺, 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝗳𝗶𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗳𝗼𝗿𝘁𝗮𝗯𝗹𝗲 with the process. Our focus is always on making grooming a positive experience right from the start. 🐾 𝗡𝗼𝘁 𝗮𝗹𝗹 𝘀𝘂𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗼𝗲𝘀 🦸🏻‍♂️ 𝘄𝗲𝗮𝗿 𝗰𝗮𝗽𝗲𝘀… 😉 🐾

You might have seen him working quietly in the sidelines, put today I want to throw 𝗖𝗹𝗶𝘃𝗲 into the limelight 🔦 because I don’t feel he gets the recognition deserves!

You may think of him as my sidekick but he’s so much more than that. As well as an 𝗲𝘅𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲𝗱 𝗱𝗼𝗴 𝗵𝗮𝗻𝗱𝗹𝗲𝗿, he’s actually a 𝗵𝗶𝗴𝗵𝗹𝘆 𝘀𝗸𝗶𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗱 𝗱𝗼𝗴 𝗴𝗿𝗼𝗼𝗺𝗲𝗿 in his own right. 💁🏻‍♂️

So much more than that, his ability to connect with dogs – especially those who might usually feel nervous around men - is really something quite special! 💕

Kind, calm, and patient, 𝗖𝗹𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗵𝗮𝘀 𝗮𝗻 𝗶𝗻𝗰𝗿𝗲𝗱𝗶𝗯𝗹𝗲 𝘄𝗮𝘆 𝗼𝗳 𝗽𝘂𝘁𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗺𝗼𝘀𝘁 𝗮𝗻𝘅𝗶𝗼𝘂𝘀 𝗽𝘂𝗽𝘀 𝗮𝘁 𝗲𝗮𝘀𝗲. With a natural talent for reading canine body language, he instinctively knows how to keep each dog feeling safe and relaxed throughout their groom.

As for his grooming skills ✂️, they’re absolutely on point! 👌 Clive’s attention to detail and care for each dog’s comfort make all the difference. He takes pride in ensuring every pup leaves not only looking their best but feeling their best, too. 🫶🏻

New to the area!

My name is Hannah and I have many years experience working with animals. From a background working with dogs and cats at kennels and cattery’s as well as working as Veterinary Nursing Assistant. I qualified as a dog groomer in 2009. After a period of time away from the industry and working within a Veterinary Practice I decided to join a fellow groomer and return to dog grooming last year. Recently I decided to relocate to Newbury to live with my partner and start up on my own.

I have a state of the art mobile grooming trailer and travel to your home or place of work. Everything needed is on board. I have led lighting, large window which means the dogs can watch the world go by, a hydraulic table that lowers to the ground making it easy for large dogs to step on. There is a heated hydrobath on board with our own water supply. We just need to run out our electric extention lead to plug into your home for power. Bear in mind we have a long vehicle when booking. If parking at your home is an issue it may be possible for us to collect your dog instead and groom at a different location and then drop them back to you.
