A weekend well spent brings a week of content 🫶🏻

Two wreath making workshops, a PB for the small human at Bedale Santa 5k, some gorgeous skies on my drives to & from work, the traditional Christmas PJ photo shoot, Sid can now bark & meow as well as holiday care for Ren🐱, Carrot🦄 & Pegasus🦄.

Next week I close for Christmas on Friday 20th at 1:30pm. I will be returning to work on Tuesday 7th January 2025. If any walks aren’t needed this week please let me know asap as I have a waiting list for most days.

D’artagnan (Dart) 🐱

Since 2019 we’ve been taking in feral kitten litters & Mum if she’s willing. If Mums too feral we trap the babies once old enough & trap Mum (& Dad if we can) for neuter & release.

We (Me & Seth) are normally really good In rearing the kittens & finding them good homes once old enough. The kittens are wormed & flea treated & go to their new homes on the agreement that they are vaccinated & neutered once old enough. I do this completely out of my own pocket to help reduce the amount of feral kitten litters we have here in the uk (I know it’s a tiny drop in the ocean).

But sometimes you fall in love. The first kitten to never leave the Watts household was Kwala in 2019, she had swimmers syndrome (from being too fat) & had to have physio in order to help her walk. Obviously no one could look after her like I could & she stayed here with us.

& now Dart!! I received a message 4 weeks ago about a kitten in distress in Borrowby. After trapping Baby Dart & chatting to the land owner it became obvious that Mum had lost interest in him & he was out fending for himself. Dart (as far as we know) was the only kitten born, this is normally due to Mum being too young herself. Due to him having no siblings he’s bonded with us extremely quickly, so obviously he now has to stay too ♥️. Mum (& we think Grandma) how now also been caught, neutered & released back into the land with the help of my trap too.

I’ve never had a boy cat. It’s a completely different experience than a girl cat. He wants to cuddle by night (literally sleeps under the covers) & WWE wrestle/climb the curtains/fight the dogs by day. Welcome to the mad house Baby Cat 🐱🫶🏻
