DONATIONS WANTED!

This year the local cat charities have been inundated with kittens and pregnant queens.

We are helping as much as we can with neutering, vaccinations and chipping but the charities are in desperate need of kitten food, blankets and beds.

We have a food bank bin for Alley Cats Ripon and are happy to accept donations for them.

STAR SLIMMER ALERT !!!! 🚨 🚨🚨🚨🚨

This is Luna , she has been having treatment with us since 2023 but this year we have come down hard with her weight loss , and her owners have worked very hard to make this happen !
Luna has lost a whopping 8kg over the last few months ♥️♥️
Well done Luna and her owners Sasha and Pete for being strict with Lunas diet. (More credit goes to Sasha as we know Pete sneaks the treats in when he thinks no one is looking 🤫 🤐)
Luna was referred to us from Bishopton Veterinary Group for rehabilitation post TPLO surgery

Meet Felix ♥️♥️♥️♥️🐾🐾🐾🐾🐾

He has been referred by vita.referrals to have pre-hab with us .
Felix will be having a total hip replacement in the next few weeks , and we have been working hard to prepare him for his surgery , ensuring his recovery is as straightforward as possible .

Fear of loud noises often goes hand-in-hand with pain for our dogs.

Loud and unexpected bangs will make them jump and tense up, which often magnifies underlying muscle and joint soreness.

It doesn't take long before they associate noises with being painful and it can progress to phobias that last well beyond firework time and can be very challenging to treat.

If your dog had a hard time during the fireworks, they will really benefit from anti-anxiety medications from your vet

But if they were worse this year or were previously fine and now are very fearful, then putting them on painkillers can make a huge difference.

Both with loud noises but also for their comfort and mobility generally.

Little Kiki and her owner do a 70 mile round trip every week to come and visit us for Kikis treatment ♥️♥️
This is not unheard of !
We have a growing number of clients who are travelling in excess of an hour each way , once , twice , or even three times a week with their pets to make use of our specialised services and multimodal approaches to rehabilitation and pain management .

****PLANNED POWER CUT ******
WEDNESDAY 30th OCTOBER ‼️‼️‼️‼️‼️

As those who live in Rainton village will already know , there is a planned power outage lasting all day this coming Wednesday the 30th October .
We have been speaking to Northern Power over the last week to see if we can get a generator fitted , but unfortunately it seems this won’t be possible .
We have no option but to close for the day .
Unfortunately we are totally full for the rest of this week so there are no available gaps to move these appointments in to .
We will obviously contact everyone individually tomorrow (Tuesday ) when we are open again , this is just a heads up !
