An alert for potential flooding overnight is currently in place in our area due to higher than normal tides combined with strong south-westerly winds and large onshore waves - This is an alert, not a warning at this time but as always, situations can develop so please be prepared.

The time of highest risk is from 22:30 to 04:30.

Areas most at risk include Fleetwood, Larkholme, Broadwater, Cleveleys, Rossall Beach, Anchorsholme, Blackpool promenade and banks of the river Ribble.
