Oh Fluff a Baby!!
Pawrents! I'm so pleased to finally announce a new addition to the Oh So Fluffy gang Due October 2024 π₯³
I want to thank you all so much for your patience this past 3 months. I know a few have had appointments moved due to top secret hospital appointments (scans, midwife appointments) Ive had a fairly easy first trimester but I really did get hit with sickness and fatigue.
I've been making plans in the background, but this is something I've found genuinely hard to plan for. Some small changes will happen over the pregnancy, but I will be sure to give as much notice as possible.
So some important info for now:
MATERNITY
My due date is 17th October. I am planning for maternity to start September 27th and returning sometime in Feb on a part time basis. My days and hours will be determined nearer the time due to childcare. An email will be sent with my return date closer to the time. This does mean unfortunately I'm out of action for Christmas π
APPOINTMENTS
Those who have block booked their slots will remain in the diary unless otherwise specified until June/July. After June, appointments will be booked one in advance, just In the event any changes are required. Opening hours will remain the same for the time being, but I'm having to go off baby and midwife appointments for this one. As Iβm currently measuring 7 days ahead, this will ultimately depend on how big the bump gets.
GROOMER TRANSITIONS
I am currently transferring your dogs grooming notes onto cards to hand to groomers while I'm off. I will be handing these too you on your last appointment. Clients who need a special referral due to health conditions, or those under special care plans on confidence building, I will be talking to you privately and seeking a new groomer for you, who works in a similar manner as myself, as I want to make the transition as easy as possible for your pooches.
CHECK IN
Please bring all dogs on Collars/harnesses and leads for check in. Please avoid picking them up and passing them to me. I have had to put a new lift procedure in place to avoid hurting myself, and this just ensures I can safely do this.
LARGE DOGS
While this absolutely breaks my heart and has not been an easy decision to make, unfortunately until my return from maternity I am longer able to do Large Breed Dogs. This is instructed from my midwife as the bending, lifting, supporting and prolonged standing is causing me severe discomfort. I had hoped I would be able to carry on until my third trimester, however taking the height grate out and bending over the bath is causing pressure on my belly, which is causing ligament and back pains.
If you have any questions at all, please do not hesitate to contact me or ask on your next appointments!
