I started Rumbles Dog Walking when I decided that I would like to combine my love of animals and the great outdoors to launch a new career and haven't looked back. I have been a responsible dog owner all my adult life and currently own three bundles of energy. I am involved in the flyball world and am racing in a local team with my dogs Bo, Badger and Biggles. I am also a dog foster carer for Homeless Hounds. I am fully insured and CRB checked.

Today was Talisker's first day with me. This is to get him socialised and use to all the different sounds and smells. He passed with flying colours today, he met lots of dogs and customers who wanted to have a cuddle ! He won't be starting walks until he is at least 6 months old to let those bones develop.

On the way home he crashed out in the van and fell asleep...

Meet Talisker, little brother of Mac. Pupster is coming to join us for socialisation and little walks also get him use to travelling etc..
Monday is his big day where he will leave Mac and give Mac a bit of peace and quiet.
I have a feeling I'm not going to get far with him.

Did you know that unless your poo bags are rated EN13432 then they are not normally biodegradable despite what the label says. Most bags labelled biodegradable can only be processed under special conditions at specialist industrial recycling centres. There are non currently in the UK. Once you place your poo bag in a standard bin it is just another plastic bag which will not biodegrade under normal landfill environments. It may take decades to degrade, likely into microplastics. The only problem with EN13432 bags is that they only have a shelf life of 10 - 12 months which is why they are not readily stocked. It's good to want to help the environment but it's worth checking if your bags really are biodegradable or just expensive poo bags. You may be surprised.

A customers dog unfortunately has fleas. We have checked with all the owners of the dogs who had been walked with them and they are all A ok. Can we just remind everyone to keep up to date with whatever flea treatment you use and to notify Russ immediately if you notice any fleas on your dog. We don't walk dogs with fleas for obvious reasons. Touch wood we have never had any incidents in the 11 years we have been walking dogs. Long may it continue.

His Mum kindly gave me them, to share with his doggie pals.

It is with a heavy heart, today we had to say good bye to William a English Setter, he was 12 years old. He hadn't been well for the last few weeks.
William has been with me for the last 8 years, I will miss him dearly. RIP my mate.
