I am a qualified dog trainer with The Institute of Modern Dog Trainers. I use to work as a coach for Dogs Trust Dog School before returning back to the RSPCA as a canine trainer working with rescue dogs which I love doing. I only use positive reward based training making it a positive experience for both dogs and their owners. I offer 1-1 sessions in your home or group classes. Follow the page for

1-1 Sessions - £40 per hour

Group classes - 5 week course - £75

Puppy Courses puppies aged up to 20 Weeks
Adolescent Courses - Dogs 20 weeks old - 18
months old
Adult Courses - from 18 months old

At the end of your course your Puppy or Dog will receive a certificate.

Want to make a very special announcement for Rusty.... its his happy 1st Gotcha day. When he first came to the UK he was so scared of everything, now...today... he joined on a lovely walk with new friends, had Sausages in a dog friendly cafe, got a new toy and made memories. Also a very important announcement to Karen Jewell and Family who adopted him a year ago today. The work they've put in with him has made him into a happy confident dog today.

This little lady joined me at New Barkers Coffee Lounge - Ashby today for a 1-1. Shea going to be a big girl when she's older so correct socialisation is important. She did brilliant, settled really well outside and inside. Well done gorgeous x

Next year I'm planning to walk the whole of Rutland waters....22.1 miles. Plan to do within 12 hours.
If there is anyone who'd like to join me on any parts of this feel free to shout out. Dogs welcome.

I will be doing this to raise money for Charity. My brother Dom Utton has MS and uses the@berkshire ms Berkshire MS Therapy Centre and this has been very beneficial since his diagnosis. They are solely run on donations.

My bother plans to join me on parts of this also.

I will be making more plans in the new years for this but plan to do the walk April/May time.

HALLOWEEN AND FIREWORKS ADVISE FOR DOGS

I want to talk about the importance of knowing Dog First Aid. Today on one of my group walks 3 dogs having fun, splashing around in shallow stream. Suddenly one dog lifted paw up as though hurt it. Checked it... nothing. Walked back fo van when he lifted one up again but this time bleeding heavily.

With being First Dog First Aid trained by Dog First Aid West Nottingham as well as working for them I knew what to to. Applied pressure, stayed calm, asked for help... (Friend was with me) and applied pressure bandage. Called owners who rang vets to say we were on way.

Also by having a First Aid kit on me I wad prepared for anything like this.

Potentially stood on a nail by looks of it, bit caused quite bit of bleeding. He's been treated at vets and staying there til his mum can pick him up.

Please if you don't already know Dog First Aid please think about doing one of the courses. By doing so I knew what to do under pressure and Dog is fine.

There was a lot more blood than this...

I've had an amazing weekend with rhis lad. He's been a true gentleman. Today was a trip to the garden centre for breakfast, followed by a play date with new friends.
Weve been snuggled sofa this evening, think he's exhausted

Day 2 with this lad and safe to say don't think he's missing his mum and dad too much.
Forced cuddles by him, cold walk, and now movie night.
Tomorrow we have a packed day of adventures x

When you go to do a Dog sit and he throws himself backwards so he's leaned into you... that's true love and trust just there. Safe to say the bond me and Sydney have is so special, the trust he has in me means so much. Looking forward to lots of adventures this weekend with him, Garden centre lunch date, play date, films, snoozes plus much more x

Worked with these 2 sisters again today, and they've worked really well around other dogs today.
Slowly they are building up to being able to look at a dog then check in with owners. It's a slow process as we don't fully know they're background, but the difference today compared to when I first met them is amazing.
Afterwards we even stopped off at a cafe where they worked really well at settling x

Marnie gives a great Indication when she has found the item she's asked to fiind.... not only does she do a brilliant duration but look at her tail. Marnie also leans her body Into the item more Each dog is different.... One dog in class gives a very low tiny tail wag.... another gives eye contact whilst his nose is in the pipe. As a Qualified and accredited dog trainer I'm always learning about dogs and this is also Important when I'm teaching Scent work. Well done everyone. X

Another huge breakthrough with this lad Rusty. He joined me on a other walk today.... with his friend Marnie. Before our walk we popped into Staunton Harold Garden Centre where he greeted my wife who works there. Rusty has always been a little reserved with Ruth when we've gone to visit (his mum and dad are very good friends of ours) but today his confidence e was amazing. Well done superstar xx

My 2nd 1-1 today was another dog who needed help with loose lead walking. Again...our second session and seen huge improvements. Great work xx

Technical issue lost original post Who remembers Nora...the scared little girl. Well today she's mastered "around a cone" Few weeks ago she would have been scared to even go near this cone. Keep up the good work Nora. Jessica Brannan x

Who remembers anira from a post few weeks back? Well she's back again doing another course to help boost her confidence. Few weeks back she would have been so worried about the cone, wouldn't go near it without panicking. Well today she's work on "around the cone" and aced it. She's blossoming into a brave girl. Well done little lady x
