I have a National Diploma and BSc(Hons) Degree in Animal Management. I aim to provide all aspects of animal care - from cleaning out even if it's just the once because you're ill or long term if you're away and don't like leaving you animals in boarding establishments or even if you'd just like someone to pop in during the day to let your cat / dog out for a wee or to give them some company. I also provide dog walking and basic training.

Just a quick reminder that we will be assessing the risk of walks for each pooch individually.
If we feel there's a danger to health for your dog in these temperatures then we will be converting walks to pop ins or play with the pools at day care 🌡️🥵

As we're sure you're all already know, traffic is a nightmare this morning.

Please be aware that although we've all left early this morning, with the road closures on the M27 and in Hill Head and all of the roadworks going on it's more than a little likely that we are going to run very late today.

As usual we will do our absolute best to make sure everyone is gotten to as quickly as possible but it is already manic out there.

That being said, we reluctantly ask everyone to please do let us know if you don't absolutely need us today just in case we can't catch back up.

We thank you all for your understanding, here's a cute photo to hopefully somewhat inject a tiny bit happiness into the chaos that is already today 😆

We are celebrating 9 wonderful years since we opened today 🥳

We have laughed so many times with the wonderful furbabies we've met, had our hearts broken with the beautiful souls that went over the rainbow bridge and we've loved each and every animal we've had the pleasure of meeting.

Making new friends today - meet Peanut Montgomery 😍 so in love already!!

We had a lot of fun getting these slow-mo videos of Indie and her pals enjoying her birthday treats today - though not quite so much trying to put the clips altogether 😅 (don't worry, all pooches who missed/dropped their treats did get them afterwards! 😉) Have a wonderful long weekend folks!

Many of you have asked what the feathered one's reaction was to Eunice over the last couple of days. Well, see for yourselves - she hasn't an ounce of common sense and she absolutely loved it 😂 Thanks to you all for bearing with us while we closed on Friday due to damage and a power cut. We hope you all managed to get away without any! 🤞

Here's a little clip from one of our walks yesterday before it got hot 🐾 Just a reminder folks that as temperatures rise again, if we feel it is too hot to safely take your pooch out, then we won't do so - we will instead convert walks to pop ins or short sessions in day care with shade and pools. Your 4 legged fur babies safety is always a priority for us 😁

It's been a while since owl spam has happened... Okay back story - I made Vo a bit of feeding enrichment last night and so I went to check this morning if she'd actually figured it out and as I entered she was at the far end of the enclosure and didn't fly off. So, I'm just walking towards her and stop once I get to the enrichment. At this point, she picks herself up, flies right by me and sits herself on the perch closest to me. She's never let me get this close before and I'm just truly in awe of this feathered one and her courage and ability to keep going strength to strength. Also - ignore that she's a little puffed up - Lodie was in sight 🙄 that's a love hate relationship for sure 😅 It may look like a tiny bit of progress but for her to come to where I am, and let me get so close is just completely magical. P.s. let's also ignore my voice - I was trying not to squeal with happiness.

Our Story

Laur’s Paws was founded by Laura in 2014 during her second year of university. Laura holds both a National Diploma and BSc(Hons) in Animal Management alongside a National Diploma in Feline Psychology and Behaviour.

We were lucky enough right from the start to have had some amazing clients support us and enable us to grow as a company. We are able to offer day care, home boarding, pet visits and dog walks (one-to-one or small groups of up to 4 dogs).

There are now four team members here at Laur’s Paws. We are all very dedicated to the animals that we work with and absolutely love being able to spend our time with your furbabies.

We aim to continue to provide a high standard of care to your four legged friends and enable you to have a worry free day knowing that they are recieving the care that they need.
