Just a quick thank you to two lovely groups of ladies who have been to SWGTC recently. The first organised by Andrea B and yesterday’s by Belinda M.

Both groups came down for a couple of days and it was fantastic to watch them run their dogs in some challenging conditions, especially yesterday which was biblical all day but still managed to succeed in what they were trying to achieve👏👏

It was a brilliant day, all the handlers did very well with some smart work in the cover crop and across the valley.👏👏

Many thanks to Chris Gore and his team of Chris R, Carly, Jenny and Andrew who made the long trip down to not so sunny Devon for a couple of great days training here at SWGTC.

It was as a lot of fun and a couple of those long retrieves through the bracken will live long in my memory!!

SWGTC is very proud to announce we raised the amazing sum of £2,172.00 on our Charity Day for Children’s Hospice South West

It was a massive team effort which would not have been possible without the support of all the competitors, judges and helpers. So on behalf of SWGTC and CHSW thank you all very much.

I would also like thank everyone who donated a prize for the raffle or auction, I was blown away by your generosity in aid of this fantastic charity.

A massive thank you to everyone who came and supported our charity day yesterday in aid of the Children's Hospice South West.

It was a big team effort and wouldn’t have been possible without a lot of people giving up their Saturday to help.

So thank you to the judges Colin, Matt, Shane and Den for all your help and advice. All the dummy throwers Ken, Elaine, Amanda, Dave, Don, Phil, Josh, Frankie and Mark. Our stewards Rachel, Stephanie and Sars. Not forgetting the catering team of Julian, Dione, Alex and Rebecca. Plus Fiona Crawford and Lucy for their photography.

A busy weekend here at SWGTC. On Saturday The Exmoor Gundog Club ran their Retriever Puppy and ND/NH Working Tests along with their first Spaniel Novice Test. It was a very enjoyable day with over 55 dogs being put through their paces. Well done to all in the awards👏

On Sunday, Jonny Dower made the trip up from Cornwall with his team, including his young son Mason, who is definitely one to watch in the future. Thank you for your support👍🐾
