🐶🤗 TIVERTON FAMILY DOG SHOW – ANOTHER EXCITING EVENT! 🐶🤗

We've just had one exciting event – and there are more to come!

One of our favourites, the annual Tiverton Family Dog Show, takes place on Saturday 15 June.

The previous two shows have brought great joy to many and this one should be no different – not least because it will tie in with our Father's Day awards.

The Rotary Club of Tiverton is running the dog show as usual, alongside judge Joan Kidley, and all profits will go to local charities.

GTH - Greenslade Taylor Hunt has kindly agreed to be the main sponsor for the second successive year and make a sizeable donation to the charity pot.

Bring your dogs and enter them into as many classes as you like, which include two new ones.

The winners will then compete to be Best in Show and Reserve Best in Show.

Just before the show, we'll announce the winners of our Father's Day competition.

Our Mum in a Million awards scheme last year was a great success, with around 70 mothers nominated and lots attending a presentation at the market.

Can we match that for the dads, on the eve of Father's Day?

In the coming days we'll tell you how to make a nomination.

The event will also feature lots of dog-related stalls surrounding the ring, 25 or so general market traders and food and drink on the go from Ria’s Cafe & Cakery, Devon Food Co, Crosses Ice Cream and Splendours Bar, run by Splendours Spirits.

An exciting opportunity to work in an ever growing 5 star daycare for dogs in the heart of the beautiful Devon countryside.

Molly's Mates Day Care for Dogs are looking for a new part time staff member to join our daycare family.

Experience is preferred but not essential as full training will be given to the right candidate.

Hours to be confirmed. Must be available to work weekdays between 7am and 6pm. Part Time.
Expected hours - 20 hours per week

Job Roles to include, supervising and monitoring groups of dogs to ensure all dogs are happy and comfortable at all times. Ensuring all dogs have ample mental and physical stimulation. Helping to exercise and feed dogs. Helping to ensure the pack is happy, calm and relaxed. Photographing and documenting the dogs days at daycare.
Excellent customer service is a must.

You must be independent, driven and committed to giving an excellent standard of care to each dog. You will have a calm and relaxed energy around dogs. Your will create an environment that is active, fun and friendly. You must be prepared to work in all weather's.

You will be responsible for helping maintain the high standards of our daycare and upholding our policies. This will involve various cleaning duties including mopping, scrubbing, cleaning toys and bedding.

Required personal skills and attributes

Must love dogs and be comfortable working with all breeds and size.
Must be active and enjoy working outside.
Have good attention to detail and be able to multitask
Be confident working as part of a team and independently
Have the availability to work well as part of a small team
Be reliable and punctual

You will be joining a small family run business so teamwork is essential.

The Cinnamon Trust Advent #14: Meet Harry, the 11-year-old Bichon Frisé who's all about catching the perfect breeze in his silky fur.

Harry's story took an unexpected turn when his wonderful Mum, Angela, became very poorly and was concerned about Harry’s future. She was already struggling with day-to-day care because of her illness and had decided that it was time to see him settle into a new life.

Angela, the loving mother that she is, entrusted us with the special mission of finding Harry a companion. By profiling him ahead of this pivotal moment, we knew everything about Harry to start searching for another home and knew exactly who would give him all the love and care he needs.
And this is where the world of Sheila and Harry became intertwined.

Sheila, now Harry's new Mum, has gone above and beyond to create a welcoming environment, gradually building a strong bond with this little fella.

While Harry once pledged allegiance to Angela's lap alone, Sheila's affection worked like a charm, making Harry feel at home. Now, he's settled into Sheila's lap and gives it a five-star rating. Knowing Harry has a second Mum has meant the world to Angela and she has regular updates on his adventures.

When Harry wants to say hello, he's not shy about it – he'll bark it out like a true maestro. Rain? Not his idea of a perfect weather forecast, but fear not, he's got a coat ready to roll, and he'll gladly indulge in a post-rain hair dryer pampering session and loves a groom.

Imagine him as a walking, woofing model- check him out in his little blue number! And when it's time for a stroll, rest assured he's all in, ready to sashay as much as his little paws can manage. To put it simply, Harry is a fluffy snowball of style and cuteness.
