Our land is the gift that keeps on giving, an underground stream has decided to go above ground, right through the chicken run. As a positive, we don't have to worry about the chickens ever running out of water now!
Mrs. Taco seems to be missing her babies now they're 5 weeks old and don't need her as much, so she's giving her stuffie a good clean!
Our babies are growing up so fast, they've shown an interest in playing, so gave them some grass and wicker balls today, which they and mummy Taco all loved.
Feeding time for our smallest fuzzballs
Shame there were no witnesses to the Pied Piper of Hebden today 😆 Let the chickens out again, but they were far more interested in potential treats from me than finding them for themselves so the whole flock followed me round while I did other jobs until I caved and gave them their grapes!
We're completely heartbroken here this weekend as our beloved boy Sootie passed away yesterday.
Wow, we've had our beautiful ladies for 2 years as of today. Sadly lost Alfonsina in this time, but Boudicca, Adel, Hattie, Molly and Peeps are all thriving.
Poor Purpom has lost his cockadoodledoo! He's otherwise healthy (we're keeping as close an eye on him as possible given he is still nervous around us) but can't make more than a squeak come out. He's ever so confused bless him!
Our new wake up call. To be fair to him, we already have pheasants, birds that sound like guinea pigs, owls and other lovely but noisy birds, so he's not disturbing us anywhere near as much as he would like!
Two old friends sharing a grooming session in the sun.
