We have got more pond fish ready to go to new homes this weekend. Rainbow Mix Goldfish ahave been particularly popular this year and these are looking stunning in 3 sizes. 🌈
The White Tip Sterlets are very active and feeding well but the Common and Mirror Carp were not playing ball for us when photographing. Looking cute at the moment but will obviously get very large.

Nice little top up for the weekend from Singapore. 33 species of Fish and 5 types of Shrimp. Here are few photos to wet you appetite. We are verypleased with the Congo tetras where there is a high percentage of males amongst the group at this size. Also the Algae shrimp have come in at better size than we have been able to source recently.
We have plenty of other gems available. Please Pop in and see what we are up to as we re-establish our store.

It’s been a busy day today with six deliveries turning up. We are very pleased a pallet of JBL All Season sticks has arrived for the weekend but it just had to rain heavily as I was on the fork lift. We really didn’t think we were getting any this year but of the 12 that have just made it in the country we got one of them.
It would have been nice after the down pour to have seen a rainbow, the sun is out now but no, At least we had these lovely Rainbow Mix Goldfish arrive today, all quarantined in the uk and ready to go this weekend. 🌈

It’s been a long time coming, 5 years in fact! We finally have our brand new building back at our ancestral home at Hobbyfish.
We’ve had a brilliant time up at Cherry Lane but it’s time for us to go back.
We open up here at 09:30 tomorrow morning.
We’ve full freezers, fresh live food, brand new products and heaps of natural decor.
Thankyou for putting up with the mess this last week, your new store is something quite special, it’s definitely worth the wait!

This week has been filled with mixed emotions as we marked the end of an era.

Our temporary home has gone 🥹😁

We originally thought we would only be in there a maximum of 2 years, but 4 weeks shy of 5 years, it's gone.

We'll forever be grateful to every single person who's supported us through these challenging times.

Our new chapter is just beginning, and we can't wait to see what the future has in store.

Fresh Live food is back in stock!!

We now have the following live foods available to treat your fish and keep them in tip top condition.
We are stocking Black worm, Bloodworm, River shrimp, Brineshrimp, Mysis Shrimp, Copepods, Daphnia, and Tubifex.

Our freezer is also fully stocked with Gamma foods after a quick run down to Tropical Marine Centre

You won’t find the freezer in the new store yet though as it is stuck in the temporary building.(It doesnt fit through the door 😬)
Please just ask us for it at the time of sale and we will be happy to pop and get it.
This should all be resolved at the end of the month when the temporary building is removed, and we can fork lift it out.

So as many of you know we are in the new store now and will continue to develop the facility over the next few months.

If you haven’t been for a while please pop in and see what’s going on.

Please note we are open 9.30am - 5.30pm all weekend apart from Easter Sunday which we will be closed 🐣🐰

We've had our wonderful delivery of Dutch plants arrive.
It is BURSTING with choice, variety and colour 😍

We've also got a few tubs of the ever popular floating plant Salvinia natans available and some Clorophytum bichetii which can be hung on the back of open top aquariums or in paludariums.

Our first delivery of hardier pond plants has arrived in 🙌
We've got a mixture of Lillies, Oxygenators, irises & marginals. These have all been grown here in the UK, so they are used to our fluctuating temperatures 🌡

First deliveries of 2025 have arrived thank goodness. We got a bit short on aquarium plants and other best sellers during the Christmas and new year holidays so are very happy to fill the plant sales tank, shelves and freezer again now the suppliers are back open.

There is plenty of Ruto, Gamma and Superfish frozen food in stock including extra Bloodworm for good measure.

We have loads of plants from the Netherlands along with various moss, fern and Anubias covered coconuts and rocks.

The JBL foods are topped up and the Selection of Juwel media is almost complete. They were all ordered! Promise!

So it leaves me to just say one last Happy New year and hopefully see you in store this week end.

💥 a little update and some brutal honesty💥

Firstly, we would like to thank everyone for your support & patience while we've been navigating building our store.
The whole process from the start has been a ball ache. We've jumped through hundreds of hoops from the council, environmental heath, bat protection etc, We've had hundreds and thousands of pounds worth of "extras" thrown at us and just to give you an idea the first stage of demolition was over 1/4 of a million pounds on it's own 😳
Yes, we do have insurance, but unfortunately, the costs of materials sky rocketed during covid, and a building that should have costs £800,0000 has now cost us to date over 1 million. We've put and will continue to put every spare penny we can into finishing the store.

We've had a few people lately say, "we'll be back once you're in the new store."
This is amazing, but if there is anything you need in the meantime, please do come in. We are still operating from our temporary store, and in the words of Tesco, "every little helps"

We have some great deals on aquariums & drum filters at the moment. We also offer a price match guarantee service. So if you've seen something online pop in and speak to a member of our team, we'd love to help you 🥰 we also have gift vouchers if you're unsure what to buy a fish keeping hobbiest.

We have had this crazy idea that we should close Monday - Thursday until we're in the new shop. So we can put all our focus into getting open.  What's everyone's thoughts on this? Would you still come in Friday - Sunday? Or would you find somewhere else to go?
We don't want to lose anyone. We love hearing about your ponds/gardens or aquariums.
Please help us out and tell us honesty. We can take it 😬
