Meet Bubbles 🫧 💕
Bubbles is looking for her new forever home through no fault of her own 🏡 She needs to be an only cat and has no experience of dogs. She's a bit nervous to begin with, but soon finds her feet. She loves human company, will sit on your lap to watch TV with you and bring you toys. She loves to be brushed. She would like someone who is home a lot of the time. She is nearly 3 years old and is spayed, will need microchipping and vaccinations.

Today I have had to make a tough decision to cancel a clients booking due to failure to pay. They received their payment date upon booking, which is my usual practice, and despite a polite reminder to pay yesterday they still ignored this but finally stated very late last night that they’d sort first thing this morning but failed to do so. I feel I was left no choice as I refuse to spend my days chasing money. I have done my part and they failed to do theirs.

It is very uncomfortable as a business owner to be chasing for money, despite it being owed and despite every client signing terms agreeing to my payment terms. I understand the rare occasion when this issue occurs from regular clients, as we are human and make mistakes, but for the most part you apologise and pay immediately upon my reminder and I am grateful.
I am sure as adults we all have constant bills due and things to pay so “I forgot” or “I was busy” aren’t really valid excuses ever to ignore due dates and reminders. That wouldn’t work on big businesses so don’t think it’s ok to do it to small ones.

Some may think I am being stupid to cancel business especially in this tough economic climate as business is not great, but I am not just a small business owner, I am a person and there are just somethings in this world I hold in higher regard than money and that’s mutual respect, care and consideration for others.

When you fail to pay a small business please consider the consequences. We are not here to “service your needs” regardless of how you treat us; so treat us well or at least with the same respect you would a big business.

Luckily 99% of my awesome clients show me the upmost respect and care and I appreciate you more than I can say but occasionally I have to deal with a difficult situation which makes me sad and uncomfortable and I may very well get backlash or negative reviews or posts left on social media telling people to avoid me but I stick by my terms and more importantly, my principles, and hopefully the good people of the world will see that.
Thank you to anyone who has bothered to read this and thanks again to my regulars who keep me going. I have nothing but love and respect for you.
