🌟 Developing a frame at liberty 🌟
This is a concept that my wonderful friend Kaleigh from Braveheart Beasts shared with us this summer, and what an incredible exercise to play with 🤩
For me this has really been a missing piece 🧩
How to develop a frame, posture, self carriage, at liberty, with not reins to shape it.
I have found in movements such as Spanish walk, piaffe, and Spanish trot, the horse will naturally engage and hold a posture, but how to develop it from the ground up when just walking, or taking the stretch on the circle, to self carriage has been uncharted territory 🧐
Now having played with a few sessions, with a few different horses, I can really see the development and I can’t wait to see how far we can go 🤩
Remember, the product doesn’t look like the process 😉

These are the good days 🥰
Nellie is finishing her time here with us for starting and today we went on a big adventure hack!
Trotting out in front, up and down some super steep hills, over logs, through the river, and lots of natural challenges that she overcame with confidence and ease ❤️
We are so lucky to have all of this on our front door without having to touch a road 🙏
We are so proud with how far she has come, becoming so confident with the rider, and is ready to go back home to her wonderful owners 🥳 she is an incredible young horse ❤️
