☀️ HOT HOT HOT ☀️
Finally, summer seems to be showing it’s pretty wee face, but with that comes some hot dogs!
We all know the drill by now but just to reiterate :
✨Pick-Up/Drop offs will be earlier than “normal” to accommodate for all groups and in particular, trying to minimise Groups 2/3 being out in the height of the temps.
✨ If you have a cooling jacket/neckerchief, please leave it out for us to collect and we will make sure your pup has theirs on for their walk!
✨ We will do our best to walk in areas with shade and/or a water source.
✨ We have cooling mats ready in crates and bottles of water to take on walks and rehydrate back at van.
✨ If ANY dogs seems to be struggling on walks, we will cut session short. If it was to go to the extreme (which it isn’t forecast so far this week), then groups may be cancelled and pop-ins offered to those with no owner at home.
✨ As always, safety is paramount and we will never risk any of The Packs health for sake of completing an hours walk.
✨ If anyone had any particular concerns about their dog and ability to cope in temps, please message us and we can sort an alternative where possible!

One of the BEST off-lead pups with impeccable recall, but from Video One you can see being “on-lead” was like having a really cute steam train pull you around 🚂😂
On the whole, not a problem for us at The Woof Pack as 99% of the time, she is off-lead and the 1% of time was more for extra security of getting a solid “sit” if needed for passers-by on walks.
But for her owners who have a toddler who’s sometimes in a buggy OR wants to walk his best friend himself, it was an area they needed to tackle.
Fortunately, Skye is a mix of two working breeds so LOVES to be given a job but even more so, she absolutely lives for praise and to be told she’s a “good girl”. This, paired with the perseverance and patience of her owners has resulted in us being able to capture Video Two, today.
Walking calmly on a loose slip-lead, even with the added excitement of her off-lead pals running around her.

We are so, so super proud of our girl and also very grateful to her owners for taking the time to work on it. Gold stars all round 🤩
Rain (lots & lots of rain), wind or shine : WE ARE WALKING!!
3 group walks completed in what has probably been the heaviest rainfall we’ve had this year but it was done in good spirits and even better waterproofs!
All pups back home and drying off in their cosy houses. Time for us to do the same with a well earned cup of tea in hand 🫖☕️

Unfortunately, it does still mean Fridays walks will be affected and priority given to dogs who have no-one at home. We are currently looking at diary and will send out messages to confirm individual updates!
Just wanted to say another thanks to the girls at Happy Tails Of East Lothian, Waggly Tail Trails and Adventure Paws for their help. We are very fortunate to have such close friends within our industry and this trio always come through when it’s needed ❤️
Additionally, thanks to all of our clients for being so sympathetic about situation, adapting to any changes at short notice, offering use of their cars and just being bloody marvellous in general.
