** IMPORTANT NOTICE **
This morning we filled over 30 poo bags with poo that hadn’t been picked up by field users. This is becoming a persistent issue and whilst I appreciate there may be the odd one missed it has become clear that some people are just not cleaning up after their dogs at all. This is not only inconsiderate and disgusting but it breaches the terms and conditions of the field use and as such can lead to being banned from using the facilities. The persistent hole digging is also an ongoing issue and something we are also aiming to target. We are upping field visits and doing spot checks between clients (which will unfortunately will cause a reduction in appointments available whilst we access the field between clients) Hopefully the issue is resolved quickly as if we have to limit appointments long term, limit the number of dogs clients are able to bring or install cctv we will then have to raise our prices and this is something we really want to avoid. Please clean up after your dogs. There are poo bags and a bin provided so there’s no excuse. Do not allow your dog to dig holes. If your dog manages to create a hole please gather some soil (the mole hills provide plenty) Use the plant pots in the summer house and refill the hole. If you see poo that hasn’t been picked up or holes that have been dug please let us know straight away so we can narrow down when it’s occurring and get this resolved quickly. We don’t want one or two selfish people to spoil it for everyone else x

Chillerton Way Pooch and Play are hosting an Obedience Class this Saturday at 10am @ OutPaw Pursuits for Dogs under 2years of age. They will be covering Sit, Stay, Down and Leave it as well as the fundamentals of loose lead walking and the start of recall training. HOT WEATHER WARNING
It’s showing hot weather for tomorrow (Friday) Please be safe and consider rescheduling your appointment if you have one booked for the middle of the day. Please don’t hesitate to contact us to reschedule if you find yourself outside the timeframe for doing it online. There is no penalty for changing appointments due to hot weather. Better not to chance it. We just want everyone to stay safe. Remember not dog ever died from missing a walk. Early morning and evening appointments are available. Be sensible people x

Anyone who has bookings for Monday and Tuesday next week may want to reschedule their appointments for another day or stick to early morning or evening time slots if the reported forecast proves to be correct 🥵. These temperatures can be deadly for dogs. Please remember no dog every died from missing a walk. Be aware of signs of heatstroke and be sensible people 👍

Alive but injured. After 12 days Freddie was found. He sustained a nasty injury for which hes had surgery for yesterday. He should recover well although it will be a slow journey and he will always carry the scars from his ordeal but he’s alive and in good spirits and of course he’s family are so relieved Xx

Please share and help find Freddie. Miniature Schnauzer ran off from his dog walker in Moorends DN8. His family just want him back 🥲

** POLITE NOTICE **
We have noticed that the toys provided are being destroyed literally in a matter of days. Throwing toys and tennis balls are being chewed to pieces almost as quickly as we replace them. The relentless toy distraction is one thing but the leaving the chewed and broken toys and bits of tennis balls on the field is not acceptable. These can pose a choking hazard to young dog and dogs with issues of swallowing foreign objects. We have already posted to asked people not to let their dogs destroy the toys we provide or if they happen to accidentally rip up a ball etc (as we all know it can happen 😅) that could people please put any broken or damaged toys in the bin as technically it’s then rubbish that’s littering the field.
Unfortunately this behaviour is still occurring on a regular basis and we have no option but to remove all toys/balls etc. and whilst people are welcome to bring their own toys with them when bringing their dogs please make sure you take all your items home with you again. If this action doesn’t not stop the littering of discarded toys and ball pieces all over the field we will be taking further measures. The majority of our field users are respectful and mindful of other clients and their dogs and it’s a shame that the minority are causing an issue that affects everyone else. SO PLEASE TAKE ALL TOYS HOME AND BIN ALL RUBBISH (and that includes broken toys/balls) x
