Daisy came to us for her first visit today, she previously had a bad experience elsewhere so was very nervous to leave her mummy. However after lots of reassurance, cuddles and a nice bath and de shed pamper she soon felt amazing and gave us lots of happy smiles 😀

Have you checked your doggies teeth recently? Make sure you can see no tartar along the gum line like in the first photo. This causes inflammation of the gums and can lead to further dental issues if not cleaned regularly.

**Matting**
We are seeing quite an increase in doggies coming in very matted recently.

We have been told that people feel worried about their pets getting cold through the winter months.
We just want to advise that matted hair that is extremely tight to the skin will be a lot more uncomfortable for your doggy to have for a few months than to just keep them regularly groomed in their normal schedule times. For most coat types this is every 6-8 weeks and we are able to just maintain the coat with length to avoid them being cold. However when the doggy comes in matted we have no option but to shave them down.

Regular grooming for most breeds is extremely important to avoid the coat going overdue. Not only does this make your doggie comfortable but it will avoid skin issues or problems that you may not be able to see under the matted coat.

Please feel free to message or call with any queries regarding coat types or if you are unsure of the grooming schedules your breed should have. Any poodle mix coats such as Cockapoos, Cavapoos, Labradoodles require more maintenance and we understand this can be hard with busy lives. We are here to help and can advise on brushes/combs if you do need help keeping on top of the knots.

Please note, any matted dogs or dogs that have missed their regular grooming regime will be charged at a higher price to allow the extra time required.
