Not long now. Can’t wait. ❤️🐾🐶
Dogtember at Saltdean Lido
Ok Dogs! Sit! Listen up.
This year, Dogtember runs for 4 weekends, starting 14/15th September with 90 minute sessions at 9 & 11am and 1 & 3pm along with a 60 minute Quiet Session at 5pm, which is limited to a maximum of 50 dogs for those of you who prefer a less chaotic environment.
As of now, the only sessions on the first weekend with spaces available are 9am and 3pm on 14th and 9am, 3pm & 5pm on 15th.
Once you’re through the gate, you can let your Humans off their lead and run, jump, slide, swim and splash to your heart’s content within our secure site. If you’re not confident diving straight into our 40m (heated) pool, you also have access to the gently-sloping splash pool with a slide and water spouts and there’s lots of grass to run around on if you have any energy left for Zoomies.
You aren't allowed into the changing rooms/toilets, but we have easily-identifiable stewards who will keep you safe whilst your Human is getting changed.
We have a great range of stalls, so there’ll be plenty of opportunity for your Human to spoil you and once again, we’ll be offering a drying service so that you can be comfy in your car on the way home.
If your Human wants to swim with you, they’ll need a Human swim ticket, but if you’d prefer them to stand poolside and throw a ball (provided), then a swim ticket for you and a spectator ticket for them is fine. For safety reasons, we don’t allow young humans under 16 into the main pool, (so they only need a spectator ticket - though very mini-humans under 3 are free) This rule applies to ALL families, even yours!
Your Human must choose a human ticket (either swim or spectator) before the Dog ticket option is visible on the ticket site.
All sessions, with the exceptions of the Small and Large dog sessions on 24th September, are open to ALL dogs. However, for those of you who want to swim with dogs who look like you, (or want to avoid certain breeds) these are the meet-ups planned so far:

This event is a fundraiser run by volunteers but of course, with professional lifeguards, vet advice thanks to our friends at The Mewes Vets and dog first-aiders on site.
Extra info for your pawrents:
Our car parks will be closed to the general public during Dogtember, but your tickets include free parking. Security will have a list of ticketholders, so you just have to give them your name.
We've taken expert advice on the issue of XL Bullies and have concluded that it would be unfair (to the dogs) if they had to be on a lead, which is the law, whilst everydog else could run free. We're also advised that it would be unsafe for any dog to try to swim whilst muzzled, so heart-breaking though it is, we have to exclude them.
You should receive email confirmation from the ticket site virtually immediately, if you don't see it, please check your junk folder.
