Alice and James were invited to give a presentation about KEEP at the 2nd International Latin American Keepers conference at Bioparque Ukumari in Colombia this year, which they were absolutely delighted to accept.

The conference was an excellent insight into the passion, work, and dedication of Latin American zookeepers for the KEEP Team, and KEEP are absolutely itching to work together with these zoos in a closer capacity.

A huge thank you to ALPZA for inviting us, Bioparque Ukumari for being excellent hosts, and the wonderful Yvette Kemp for translating and guiding the team through this Latin American experience with grace and humour.

We can't wait to share more exciting updates with you all, KEEP your eyes on our channels for more updates!

“Thank you so much to the whole team at Hertfordshire Zoo who were all super friendly, welcoming and happy to share. It was great to get experience both with animals that we currently have and being able to compare enclosures and husbandry, animals that we are hoping to add to our collection in the future, and also some like gibbons that are completely different from anything I've had a chance to work with before. It was really cool to see a lot of their newer enclosures and hear about the thought and decisions that have gone into them which has given me a lot to bring back to Lotherton!"
