It’s Monday 30th December & we’ve gone into full planning mode!

We’ve spent the last year observing, learning, unlearning, making good decisions & some bad ones 😜

From client feedback it’s clear what we thought was our USP is indeed our USP and aligns to our values…2025 starts with an exciting project at the farm which will see us build our community further!

It’s a gorgeous here at the farm…the mizzle has given way to a mild balmy morning with a hint of sunshine (could make a weather forecaster out of me yet 😝)

Time to give the Arena a quick harrow before Saturday lessons start - quick but very satisfying job! Blue the ‘UTV’ is just perfect for this job & did you know it’s left hand drive!

Well hello….it’s been a while! Whilst we have been quiet on the old socials we have been busy behind the scenes planning for 2025!

It was also time to bring the year to a close by doing the dreaded tax return - it never gets easier 😩

However, ‘Doris’ the Landie brought festive cheer to the farm this morning in the form of our Christmas tree. Let the countdown begin 🎄

Tell me the AGA (heating) has been turned on without telling me….the next conversation I have to look forward to is in Spring 2025 as we try to call the right time to switch it back off 🤣

Good morning y’all!

What a lovely dry day - Ted says it starting to get a little cooler & Ian’s hat was doing just the trick! Ed wanted an ear & chin scratch which is just what Saturday lazy mornings were made for🐑

We still haven’t turned the AGA on so the daily discussion of shall we turn it on or shall we wait another week continues 🤣

The day Theo Funnell Eventing & Training UKCC2 came to the farm to run a cornwall_eventing_academy clinic.

Throughly enjoyed watching Theo’s lessons - his clients smiles were infectious today! THANK YOU Theo!

I can’t lie we ❤️days like today when we welcome people at the farm - it reconfirms the plans we have are 💯 the right thing for the ‘Kilters’ of the future.

There is SO much more to come 🤗

We have definitely moved into winter farm mode with the 1st bale of our own haylage now open for the taste testers.

Beef stew in the slow cooker for dinner tonight and discussions ongoing as to when we should put the AGA on.

As we approach our 2nd winter we have made some little tweaks with improved lighting being top of the list - I asked Queen B if she approved of her new winter lighting 😉

**What would you rate our project out of 10?**

Here is a sneaky before and after of ‘Project Restroom’.

The actual space is SO small but as one of our first projects we were really keen that this be a little taster of what you can expect from Team Kilters.

We love design and many of you will know we have plans to provide horsey holidays & more camps here at the farm.

So yep this is the toilet & shower room for our Kilters Equestrian clients……and whilst only a restroom isn’t it just lush 🤩

Got a sneaky picture of Emma Hurworth Equestrian - BHSAI & Major Tom whilst we chatted & cooled down after lesson #2.

Last night we worked on serpentines & leg position in sitting trot. Boy there is a lot to remember 😅

We are delighted that Emma will be increasing her teaching here at the farm so do get in touch if you fancy working with a BHS Accredited Professional 😉

It was time…..Mama Thompson back in the saddle on the handsome Major Tom & back to weekly lessons 🐴

Life is SO busy but we bought the farm to spend more time as a family so this afternoon in the wake of opening a new business I hopped on whilst Milly enjoyed bossing me around the arena!
