How did Peace Treats start?
At Peace Treats, we are big animal lovers. This means that we personally do not consume any animal products of any kind.
For a long time we fed our dog the RAW diet, which is a great diet for some, but not all. Our dog started showing signs of constipation and was not interested in it anymore. This led us to start researching alternative foods for dogs and came across V-DOG, which is a vegan dog food. Like many people, we thought protein should’ve been coming from meat for dogs, but the V-DOG contained plenty protein for our staffy, Bella, and it was all derived from plants! She really enjoyed the food and her poops are healthier like never before! We started buying the vegan dog treats to supplement her meals, but they all came in plastic bags. Not very environmentally friendly!
This prompted us to stop and think of a better way of getting treats. We joked that we could make our own. Fresh treats on demand!
Fast forward a few months, plenty of research, and our Bella had been testing the treats, along with some of her mates. All positive feedback, even from the fussiest.
