Updated Terms and Conditions-
• All horses/ponies must have their passports with them while being transported – this is a legal requirement.
• Under the Welfare of Animals (Transport) Order 1997 (WATO) I cannot transport any animal unless it they are fit for travel. I reserve the right to refuse to transport your horse or pony and charge a call-out fee if I feel that they are not fit to travel.
• Bon Voyage Horse Transport and its employees will take all reasonable precautions; however, in the event of an accident please note that you are personally liable for your horse in the event of injury or damage sustained to or by your horse. Bon Voyage shall be under no liability in contract or otherwise for the death, illness or injury to any Horse or pony.
• We would recommend contacting your own insurance company in advance to check if your horse is covered during transit.
• I reserve the right to call a vet to sedate any horse that becomes distressed and a danger to themselves during transport. This will be charged.
•If the horse demonstrates dangerous behaviour whilst attempting to load it will be denied travel and a call out fee charged.
Should it be necessary to unload the horse at an alternative location, the owner will be fully responsible to pay all stabling and veterinary fees. It will then be the owner’s responsibility to organise the further movement of the horse unless otherwise agreed in advance.
• Reasonable wear and tear to my horsebox is expected, but customers may be liable to cover the cost of repair for any damage not deemed as wear and tear caused by their horse/pony to the horse transport vehicle.
• Any quote for transport will include 30 minutes of loading free of charge after this £15 per 30 minutes thereafter. Whilst every effort will always be made, in the rare event of a horse being incapable of being loaded a charge will be made of £1 a mile for the round trip, plus the £15 per 30 minutes
• Either the customer, owner or someone agreed by the customer is required to be present whilst the horse is being loaded/unloaded, unless previously agreed otherwise.
• Customers travelling in the cab do so at their own risk and do so only with prior arrangement.
• I am happy to carry some tack or other equipment along with your horse/pony but this is done so at your own risk.
• All journeys are to be paid for in full on or before the day of transportation via cash or bank transfer.
• A non refundable deposit will be taken at the time of booking.
• By accepting a quote from Bon Voyage Horse Transport and confirming a booking the customer agrees to the Terms and Conditions outlined above.
