Just a quick thank you from John and myself for this past year to all our friends and customers. Both old and new! It really is appreciated!

Another incredibly busy year now come to a close for Christmas! I hope everyone is able to enjoy some good time off over Christmas with family and friends!

I am sure we have all seen proposed changes to licensing systems, wildlife legislation, trail hunting etc. I am not going to share the various posts and petitions, i am positive you all have already filled them out and have made sure your voice is heard in regards to the sport and way of life we all hold dear.

Looking forward to another year in the workshop from the 12th of January

A before and after. It’s surprising how much dirt and detritus builds up both inside and out of the action.
Excessive build up of unburnt or burnt powder, carbon, old oil and general muck can soon exceed tolerances and cause excessive wear, as well as malfunctions.

Turning Firing pins up from bar stock! A necessary process if parts are no longer available from the factory.

New swivel made and fitted after the original one decided to let go.
No parts available for a Churchill side by side 20! So one needed to be made up from bar stock!

Bore snakes 🐍 nearly as venomous as the real deal.
As far as i am concerned they have no place in the cleaning and maintenance department!!

The above picture speaks a thousand words. Most i cant repeat on here. Far too often they enter the workshop firmly wedged in a barrel.

Luckily we have yet to be beaten! Came close mind, first and hopefully the last time we have had to remove a 🐍 from a .17hmr barrel! Besides an inch each end where it had been compacted in 🤦🏻‍♂️ this snake was stuck nearly full length of the barrel!

Thats all folks! Cracking year once again. Thank you all very much friends and customers new and old for their continued support this year. It really is appreciated. Certainly a lot of change in the industry and in the field, to the extent we cant even show what we work on without AI flagging the content and limiting our ability to use the platforms.
I expect the turkey coma will take a week or two to wear off! Aiming to be back in the workshop ready for the new year and its challenges on the 13th of January!
