Hello everyone!

I wanted to come out here and briefly talk about my experience working with rescue dogs. The majority of behaviour cases in rescue is fear based and fear can be shown through aggression, guarding, reactivity, emotional shutdowns, loss of apetite and many others. It’s a complex behaviour but with the right attention and training a lot can be achieved!

Nino’s herd are qualified to give high standard of animal behaviour advise and training for dogs that need a little more attention and care.

Anyone seen a squirrel out there?
Nancy, a former rescue pup I took on as a foster over 6 months ago and decided to keep her forever. She has taught me so much about myself and my skills in dog training. She is a clever energetic young lady that relies on alot of walks and mental enrichment.

We at Nino’s Herd love our rescues and always advice on adoption! Having worked with many rescue dogs and charities, we understand the difficulty in taking on a rescue. The uncertainty and sometimes the extra work that needs to be put in, however, there is nothing more rewarding!

We aim to help those who took this challenge on and strengthen people’s understanding and idea of rescues dogs!

Every dog is diffirent and it is important to design enriching walks appropriate for their mental and physical needs and ability.
Big bouncy and full of life? No problem, adventurous walks with lots of running grounds! A water lover? A lovely walk by the lake sounds perfect!

Our little Mylo is growing up too fast 😩 today we focused our walk on scent work and recall. Let me just say, nothings holding this puppy down!

Border terriers are known to be incredible working dogs but also great companions. Originally bred for quick decision making, intelligence and eagerness, mental stimulation and exercise for this breed is fundamental!

Mylo of course, is still too little and young to be running the fields of Wiltshire but soon enough with the right care and preparation, he’ll be ready!

Mylo had his first little adventure this morning and he absolutely loved every second of it! ❤️

We are starting Mylo on half-hour walks, which will be enough for him to exercise his social skills and behavioural training 💪
