Having first come across birmans in the late ‘70s with two Seal boys, a lifetime love affair with the breed began. We bred our first litter in the mid-80s alongside having children. Soon, the combination of children and kittens became unmanageable, but we never strayed from the breed. We have had a number of birmans in the family over the years and decided that now, with three adult children, it was the time to breed again.
Our poor old boy Panjandrum Spitfire didn’t know what hit him when Mlyward Kamyab Sapphire entered the fray, but now he has come to terms with his female housemates. He has taken well to the role of Grumpy Old Uncle; even cuddling up to the kittens. On occasion, he’s even been spotted playing with the little ones (at the grand old age of 14), but he wouldn’t want anyone to know that.
In October 2017 we had our first litter from Sapphire, four lovely girls, two of show quality who made their debut on the showbench in January 2018 and have continued to succeed. Both have reached Champion, with Ch Kamyab Aisha (Seal Point - aka Jet) awarded the Birman Cat Club’s Best Opposite S*x Kitten 2018 and Best Seal Point Kitten 2018 and Ch Kamyab Azure (Blue Tabby Point - aka Blue) awarded Best Tabby Point Kitten 2018.
Alongside their mother Sapphire these two girls make our gorgeous trio of breeding Queens.
