Part of being a qualified IMDT Dog Trainer involves annual Continual Professional Development. And after just passing another exam, I’m now a qualified ‘IMDT Professional Dog Walker’. Yes, anyone can walk a dog! 😄 BUT my aim is to give the highest quality service to my clients and go above and beyond. From learning the latest information on canine behaviour and handling skills, government regulation and welfare laws to risk assessments and first aid, the knowledge I have received from this course ensures your pup is in the best possible hands. 🙌🐶❤️

This is an instructional video on how to teach your dog 'With Me'.

It's fantastic exercise to teach your dog at any age:
- A great way to keep your dog near you - especially if there is a distraction or danger you want your dog to avoid
- Another tool in your 'Recall Toolbox'
- Encourages connection and engagement as your dog will likely 'check in' with you more meaning your dog is more likely to listen, respect and trust you
- Teaches your dog that good things happen around their human

⭐ Exciting news to share ⭐

I’m thrilled to welcome Heather Roth to the Yogi’s team.

Some of you may have already met Heather, as she has been assisting with some of our Puppy Squad Classes.

Heather has just passed her IMDT (Institute of Modern Dog trainers) assessment with Merit meaning that she is now a fully certified dog trainer! 🎉

Heather has spent years helping people with their dogs just for fun, then in early 2023 decided to make a big career change and fully embrace her love for animals. Goodbye event management and hello dog walking, home drop-in visits and dog training.

Heather is loving her new career, and being able to use her innate connection with animals to work with pet owners and their dogs. Now that she is fully qualified as a dog trainer with both the IMDT and the Open College Network, she will be joining the Yogi’s Dog Training team!

A huge congratulations to Heather for all her hard work. We can’t wait to have you onboard. Heather will be assisting with our popular Puppy Squad classes, with a view to running some of them alongside Vicky in the near future.

You and your furry friend will be in the best of hands. 🐾
