🐶🐾LET'S TALK ABOUT BRUSHING 🐾🐶
Brushing your dog between grooming appointments is so important for any breed, not just the poodle crosses.

Regular brushing not only prevents matts and tangles, but also promotes healthy skin and coat growth plus helps dogs regulate their body temperature better ✨

No groomer enjoys shaving a matted dog and the only reason they would shave was to avoid major discomfort and pain that would be caused to the dog by trying to work the tangles out of the coat. This can be prevented by regularly brushing your dog at home in between grooming appointments.

All you need to brush your dog at home are two tools - a slicker brush and a comb. (https://www.mutneys.com/shop/mutneys-slicker-brushes/). You can also use an Anti-Tangle Spray to help work through the tangled areas (https://www.mutneys.com/shop/anti-tangle-spray/) 💙

Here we have shared the recommended brushing amount for specific coat types:
🐶 Curly Coats - Everyday
These include Poodle Crosses & Bichon Frise.

🐶 Silky Coats - Everyday (if long) / Twice a Week (if short)
These include Spaniels & Shih-Tzu.

🐶 Double Coats - Twice a Week
These include Golden Retrievers, Collies, Huskies, German Shepherds.

🐶 Wire Haired - Once a Week
These include Border Terriers & Schnauzers

🐶 Smooth Coats - Once a Week
These include Pugs, Frenchies & Labs.

👉 TOP TIP: Have patience. The first time you brush your dog may be hard as the coat will probably be tangled / matted, but don’t worry it gets much easier! Always remember, the more often you brush, the easier it will be next time. Try and get into a routine and think about integrating brushing your dog into your daily life (i.e. whilst you’re waiting for the kettle to boil for example).

Happy brushing! Trust us, your dog will thank you 🙌

Hey everyone 👋🏼

Just wanted to apologise for the radio silence. My back is still in bits with a slipped disc so doing my best to keep up and keep everyone in the loop!

Will be sitting down with my diary shortly to sort out appointments I've missed and do bookings, sorry it's taken so long but I am struggling with all this pain.

Yesterday I found out my little Adira has cushings disease. Our other dog, shadow, also has it believe it or not! Must be a 1 in 1000 chance of that happening!

Does anyone have a lot of knowledge when it comes to cushings by any chance? They are both on medication, I just wonder of there is anything I can do/avoid to help them live a longer fuller life. Any tips?? 🥰🐶

Thanks to most people for being so understanding and I really hope I can return to full working order very soon!

Drop me a message 🐶❤️

✨️ Back update ✨️

Doctor thinks I've a bulging disc, I've been given some meds to try and manage the pain but I'm going to need to re-jig some days so I am doing less dogs than I normally do to try and manage.

I can't take time off because I still have bills to pay, so this will be the next best thing for now.

I'll sit down with my diary this afternoon and message people I need to shuffle. I'll still do all of you, just might be on a different day.

Bare with me. Doing my best 😢

Why Diagnostic Assessments Are Essential for Your Car

If your car isn’t running as it should, or that dreaded warning light has come on, it’s time to consider a diagnostic assessment. But did you know it’s much more than just plugging in a computer?

Here’s why diagnostics are so important and what they involve:

🚗 It’s not just about reading error codes
A diagnostic computer is just one tool. It helps identify where a fault might be, but a proper assessment goes beyond that. A skilled technician uses their expertise to investigate further—checking components, running tests, and physically inspecting the car to pinpoint the issue.

🔍 What does a diagnostic assessment include?
Depending on the problem, it could involve:

Visual checks: Looking for damaged wiring, loose connections, or worn parts.

Testing components: Ensuring parts like sensors, injectors, or the alternator are working as they should.

Investigating performance issues: For example, if your car is misfiring, diagnostics could involve checking the ignition system, fuel delivery, and even the engine itself.

Brake system checks: Diagnosing ABS faults or other braking issues.

Emission tests: Ensuring your car meets environmental standards and isn't over-polluting.

💷 Saves you money in the long run
Catching issues early through diagnostics can save you from costly repairs later. For example, a minor fault with your fuel system could, if ignored, lead to expensive damage to the engine.

🌟 Peace of mind
A full diagnostic check provides reassurance that your car is safe and performing efficiently, whether you're preparing for a long journey or simply driving around town.

At VDS, we specialise in thorough vehicle diagnostics. Our expert technicians use advanced tools and hands-on techniques to get to the root of any issue. Whether it’s an electrical fault, engine trouble, or a mystery warning light, we’ve got you covered.

📞 Call us today or message us to book your diagnostic assessment. Don’t wait until it’s too late—keep your car running smoothly and safely!

Just a little heads up 😞
I am struggling with my back.
It's been weeks of pain, and it's getting worse, not better after the Christmas break.

Edit * man down. I've had to cancel the rest of today so I am so sorry to everyone I've had to let down 😢

I'm doing my best to keep going and get through everyone, but sometimes I just can't, unfortunately.
I'll always rearrange, though ❤️

Does anyone have any tips to help with working through back pain that radiates down 1 leg? Cause I'm living on pain killers at the mo!
