Final Call! Last chance to book "Christmas Day To Takeaway"!! Three course Christmas Day Lunch (Home Made Leek and Potato Soup or Prawn Cocktail, Roast Turkey or Beef with all the trimmings and Home Made Rich Chocolate Mousse served with a shortbread biscuit or Home Made Apple and Cinnamon Cake - £45 per person. Oh, I'm so very, very pleased. Our little "stray dog" has now been reclaimed by her rightful owners . Lots of tears of joy and a great reunion. Thank you so much to everyone who helped with the search. Happy Christmas!

Good Evening Everyone, I'm hoping someone can help. We found a small dog (a sort of Jack Russell/Patterdale type) with tan and black colours on the beach just below our private track at Aldingham this morning. He was on his own with no-one in sight and doesn't have a collar. He's male and neutered and very friendly. He likes Roast Beef lunches but he needs to go home! Can you help? Thanks, Caroline.

"Just to let you all know that not only is Christmas Day, well, Christmas Day BUT it is also my 20th Birthday! I'm hoping that SHE will have time to bake me a birthday cake. She'll be busy though with her "Christmas Day to Takeaway" thingy. A bit of an unusual post for me but we are clearing out all our unused outside bits of kit! This Titan Electric Pressure Washer TTB2200PRW 220W 150Bar 230V was given to me a few years ago. It has a few tools but there seem to be some missing - I've photographed what I have. I've also downloaded the instructions. The plug is badly bent and I don't know if this pressure washer works or not so am selling it for spares or repair to hopefully a handy person who can sort it out! It's heavyweight (too heavy for me to lug about) - 17.3kg. I'd happily accept £25 for sold as seen and collected from Moat Farm.

I know, I know, another weekend and we are inching our way towards Christmas! What to buy for someone who has everything? How about treating them to our "Christmas Day to Takeaway"? Good Morning! Just a thought before you rush out to start your Christmas shopping (!!) don't forget that we are offering our "Christmas Day To Takeaway" three course Christmas lunch to be collected from us on Christmas Day! We've taken quite a few bookings already and a lot of people are arranging this as a gift for friends or elderly neighbours (what a lovely and very kind thought and better than a box of expensive soaps to be put in a drawer and forgotten about!). Now that the clocks have altered, my mind is turning towards something more cheerful - Christmas!

We will be offering - for our eighth year running - "Christmas Day To Takeaway"! A full three course Christmas Dinner for only £45 per person (exactly the same price as it was two years ago) with collection from us on The Day between 11.30am and 4.00pm.

The menu will be:-

Home Made Leek and Potato Soup with a crusty roll
OR
Prawn Cocktail served with brown bread and butter.

Roast Turkey or Roast Beef with home made Yorkshire Puds, proper roasties, mashed potato, baby carrots and green veg and pigs in blankets served with groovy gravy.

Home Made Indulgent Chocolate Mousse with a swirl of cream and served with a shortbread biscuit.
OR
Home Made Apple and Cinnamon Cake.

Well, Speedy Donkey certainly didn't remember the hour change last night and bellowed loudly very early on "Where's my breakfast?"! This made me shoot out of bed thinking I was dreaming. No matter, I've put the extra time to good use and made steak mince and potato pie - to be served today with chips or fries, broccoli and groovy gravy. "I'm almost, well a bit, cheerful as it isn't going to RAIN!" says Speedy Donkey. Well known for his happy outlook on life! We will be open today and tomorrow from 11.30am with Fruit Scones, Victoria Sandwich Cake, Banana Loaf, hot soup, sandwiches, bacon buns, freshly cooked omelettes and all our usual full hot food menu. Good Morning! It's Cream Tea day today at Moat - I've been up early again baking Scones AND with the new, secret (not any more!) surprise ingredient of Oat Milk! Yes, I was dubious too but it does indeed make for lighter scones - amazing. Come and enjoy one with a nice cup of tea or coffee. Has anyone seen the BBC weather forecast on t'internet for today and tomorrow? Hurricane force winds of up to 648 mph!! Do you think that someone at the BBC Weather Centre may have slightly overindulged last night? Even I know that it is going to be DRY and SUNNY today and tomorrow! I'm off to bake a Victoria Sandwich Cake now and we will be open (hurricanes permitting) from 11.30am. I'm also thinking of those poor, poor souls in the US who are going through a hell of a time. I know we moan about our weather but at least we don't get such extremes.

Freshly picked this morning and could well be the last of the Summer flowers BUT not the last of the Summer sunshine today! Do come and see us - we have our usual full menu together with home made Cheese and Mushroom Quiche, Victoria Sandwich, Banana Loaf and Fruit Scones with butter, jam and cream (of course!). Seating in the indoor Stable Cafe or you could wrap up warm and sit outside with a cup of Hot Chocolate and a Bacon Bun.
