A massive welcome to the two new members of the pawsitive clan!…. Eddie (white) and Goko (black). Our first feline furbabies 🥰

Their owners were needing some help on the grooming side of things. We got another cat out of the amount of hair removed 😱 it’s difficult to see a physical change in a cats coat, but you can certainly feel it!

They usually have a claw clip at their vets but a few were missed or grew a lot quicker so after a lil claw clip, and a sprits of peaches fragrance (cats dry shampoo), they were free to carry on with their day 😂.

Until next time handsome boys 🥰

Yesterday we said hello to little Tilly the jackhuahua.
Her lovely owner liked the scruffy look but wanted to be able to see her face more. So nothing really came off the body but her gorgeous little face and legs had a good trim and tidy up.
She was a very good girl, but found just me being there a little daunting. Thankfully it was nothing a mummy cuddle couldn’t fix and we were able to groom with a fairly chilled out lady 🥰
Hopefully see you again Tilly!

Yesterday we welcomed Kropka for her first groom with us.
Groomers before have said she can be awkward and doesn’t like her feet being touched but yesterday she smashed it! Even neatening round all four feet!
Such a beautiful clever (not so little) lady 🥰
Hope to see you again 😊

Meet a new member to our crazy pawsitive family…..⭐️ VINNIE ⭐️
It’s great having a breed with short, wiry hair as borders, in particularly, only need grooming twice a year! (Spring and autumn time) However it doesn’t mean that it’s not scary for the dog or their guardians when this time comes around. Little Vinnie here has certain areas he’s not 100% happy with me going near, but with a lil team work we soon gave them a trim. He also was a bit wiggly as so much going on (stranger coming in and bits of hair flying around the place, touching parts he’s not comfortable with) but understanding when breaks are beneficial we could get around it for a care free anxiety reduced hand strip 😊
Until next time you handsome star 🥰

Followers and Clients - I need you!

If you follow my page then you likely share the view that dogs should be trained in a way that encourages them to enjoy the process and become more confident and well-adjusted pets.

You also understand that using training tools like shock collars (aka e-collars) that cause fear and pain are not recommended.

I’m writing to ask you to please take action in support of the e-collar ban in the United Kingdom. Supporters of electric shock collars have come out in force, insisting that e-collars are necessary for training dogs and modifying behavior. There is a real danger that this may sway the government, which is currently listening to the loudest voices. Even if the government does not turn on the decision to ban e-collars, they may let it just run out of time to avoid any controversy, making it too late to meet the February deadline, and we will lose the ban.

Please take a few minutes to add your voice in support of the e-collar ban by taking these three simple steps:

1. Complete your personal details in the attached letter template, and email it to your member of parliament (MP).

2. Forward the letter to your family and friends, and ask them to do the same.

3. Post the letter on your social media accounts, asking others to send the letter to their MPs.

Dear Lord Benyon,

I am writing to you as a concerned citizen. My Member of Parliament is currently on summer recess, so I am contacting you directly and have copied my MP on this communication.

I was delighted to learn that the government had committed to banning electric shock collars, aka e-collars, but now have concerns that no date has been set for the final committee debate in the House of Commons.

As an educated dog owner, I know that, for the welfare of dogs and the safety of our communities, training should always be conducted in a manner that sets up dogs for success and allows them to enjoy the learning experience and feel safe and mentally engaged during training.
I wholeheartedly support banning the sale of e-collar devices and their use in training any animal. I urge you to please move forward with the debate and the e-collar ban.
Sincerely,
Your name"

Meet Chip! This gorgeous boy had a tough experience in a dog groomers and after all that his owners weren’t happy with his trim either.

Alys to the rescue! I go to their home, give him loads of cuddles before grooming commences, sweeten the deal with a few treats and have minimal restraints (he just has cuddles with his owner while I do my thing)

Chip doesn’t need an all over groom, his chest, legs and ear hairs grow very quickly so although it may not look like much I removed a good amount of hair leaving him feel a lot lighter and making it easier for his owners to clean after adventurous walks 🥰

Until next time little man!

PUPPIES!! I’ve recently had the privilege of these two beauties Cilla (miniature labradoodle) and Dottie (shihpoo).

They had never experienced the full grooming task, so I went to their homes with plenty of treats, praise and cuddles to try and make it as stress-free and enjoyable for them whilst shedding the extra fluff!

Hopefully now they will be calmer when clipping time comes around again. 🥰

Another one gets the chop 🥰 Lovely Mabel had her walk (before photo provided by Krista at TPAW on the walk as I forgot) then was greeted by me at her home for the spruce up. Love receiving the messages when owners come home to see the result 🥰

Today I have completed a canine body language course. It has helped me become more aware of the most subtle signs a canine gives off that they are happy, aggressive, stressed or just trying to tell you something is wrong. This then enables me to adjust some things to make sure your canines are having the most fun on a walk, or calm them when claw clipping/grooming. A massive thank you to Krista at T.PAW for being our wonderful instructor and to dog training college for having this course available. If this sounds interesting to you keep your eyes peeled for the next one!

Your dogs taxi.....
I have fully equipped my car to accompany up to 4 dogs (more if they are small) at one time. I have two doggy seatbelts and a waterproof (mud proof) seat cover in the back. In the boot I have a crate split in two with memory foam mats in each compartment, on hot days I have a big cooling mat and cold days lots of blankets and bedding. there's plenty of bowls and water on my journeys so no canine will go thirsty. I'm always buying items to make it the most comfortable for my passengers.

Hello, my names Alys, I live in Eaton, Norfolk with my fiancé and our three feline furbabies Merlin, Dotty and Indy and I am 28 years old. I started my working life at weekends in a shop, working customer service while I attended Easton college. Here I gained a national diploma in animal management, where I have training in dog grooming, kennel and cattery management and exotic animals. From college I got stuck in a full-time job as an accounts clerk for just over 6 years. Sitting behind a desk unfortunately was not for me. So, I then went on to get a job at a well-known horse charity, where I was there for two years caring for equines. As much as I loved the horses and donkeys, they are not the animal I am most passionate about. So here I am….. I currently am being subcontracted for a lovely lady Krista, who runs TPAW (a dog walking/ training company) this has allowed me to get some income while I fully establish myself in the pet services world. As you can see by the photos I am a sucker for a pet selfie 😂 xx
