Hey Everyone! Guess what? We've made a super cool upgrade to the bird rooms - we have got a humidifier now 🎉

We are so excited because humidifiers are amazing for our feathered friend’s health and happiness. Plus we can even add a little F10sc to the water, which helps keep everything clean and healthy. It's like a spa day, every day!

Basically, a humidifier helps keep the air nice and moist, which is what our tropical friends love!

Here's why it's such a great idea:

- Happy skin and feathers: Imagine how dry our skin gets in winter? Well, parrots can get dry, itchy skin and damaged feathers, or even feather plucking too. A humidifier helps prevent that!
- Easy Breathing: Dry air from our central heating systems can irritate their little noses and throats, just like it does for us when we have a cold! A humidifier helps keep everything nice and comfortable, and can help keep aspergillosis at bay ( if you use F10)

- Just like home: Parrots live in naturally warm, humid environments, so we are trying to replicate that cosy feeling for them here.

We are aiming for a humidity level of between 40-60%. That's nice and moisture, but not too damp to cause mould or mildew.

The humidifier will be in addition to our daily misting and baths to keep them as healthy as possible 🥰

Good morning guys, well Elmo is a fighter as she has pulled through the last 24hrs so hopefully is only onwards and upwards from here 🥰 The antibiotics seem to be doing their job as last night she was very active, not talking but that’s understandable with having a tube down her throat! She also came out of her cage and had some loves off me and video called Michelle to show how much stronger she was ❤️ Thank you everybody for the well wishes and hopefully we will have even better news tomorrow ❤️🥰
