It’s the summer hols which means I have my little helper to keep me company and entertain the dogs out on our walks 🥰🐾

It’s the Easter hols for us this week so a much quieter week with only a few dog walks booked in. I was very lucky to have my little assistant with me this week who did a wonderful job helping me out at a very reasonable cost 😂

The newest member of our gang. Meet Millie, she’s a gorgeous 18 month-2 year old Collie. She’s a rescue girl and her full history is unknown so for now we are getting to know each other with a couple of companion visits a day whilst her human has had to return to the office a couple of days a week. She is very friendly and is quite content with having a good fuss and tummy rub. Once she’s completed her vaccines I look forward to taking her out for some walks 🐾🐾

This handsome chap joined the Tails & Trails family today. Joe is a lovely 14 year old Patterdale terrier who is full of character and in fantastic condition. He has simple needs and just wants a mooch around the block to have a good old sniff and relieve himself, a bit of company and his lunch given to him 🐾🐾

The end of a busy week. Our Tails and Trails family is growing nicely with the addition of Sadie and Murphy this week. I still have spaces available for term time Monday-Friday walks in the 1.30-2.30 time slot if you know anyone looking for a dog walker 🐾 in the Slapton/Cheddington/Ivinghoe area.

These two beauties joined the Tails and Trails family this week. Sadie is a 3 year old Hungarian Vizsla and Murphy is a 6 month old German short haired Pointer. An absolutely gorgeous pair of dogs who I’m looking forward to walking and getting to know 🐾

A chilly ❄️❄️ walk this morning, but oh what a beautiful day ☀️. Took this one for his first walk in the snow and had a lovely walk along the canal. A great start to the week 😊

Today we tried something different and booked out one of the fields at Horton corner. I tried in the past to walk these two energetic pups together with little success as they wanted to play the whole time and as they were on their leads it led to a slightly stressful walk. This time round I introduced them in this field with Charlie’s owners there as well. Seb and his owner were here somewhere as well but Charlie and Bailey were just all a bit too much for him. The outcome was that the pups played constantly for almost an hour and had a fantastic time with the freedom of being off lead whilst we had the security of knowing they couldn’t get out the field. I don’t think I’ll be attempting to walk them together on my own for a while though 😂

I track all my walks using my Garmin watch so that each client receives a map of where their dog and I have been on our wanderings. Below is an example of a walk I’ve done with my dog which shows where we’ve been and gives an idea of how far we go on each walk.

Today was a busy day with 3 back to back walks. A lovely walk including a stroll along the canal with Basil. A somewhat frenetic walk with Bailey and Charlie after that (this was the only picture I got where they weren’t trying to jump all over each other 😂🤪). Then lastly, a lovely walk up at Little Gaddesden with Tia who was mercifully calm after the earlier excitement of the 2 puppies 🐾🐾

Today we welcomed Seb into the Tails and Trails family. He is a 5 month old cockapoo and did really well on our first walk together 🐾🐾 We had a beautiful morning for it and enjoyed a lovely walk in the sunshine.

I’m absolutely thrilled with the graphics that https://www.facebook.com/theblackdogcollective have come up with for my company logo. Designed by my very talented brother in law James Sullivan. I love everything about it and especially love that he’s incorporated the Beacon into my logo as it’s always been a favourite walking spot of mine.

Today was our very first walk with our first client. Charlie is a gorgeous Collie/Kelpie cross who is 4 months old and was an absolute pleasure to walk. I’m looking forward to watching him grow and to many more adventures together.

Introducing my puppy Bailey. He is 5 months old and looking forward to joining in with some group walks when he gets a bit older 🦮🐾
