❤️ Introducing Ted to the TTL family ❤️

Ted has been with us for a few weeks now and has slotted straight in. The crew adore him and give it their best go to match his energy 😂

Ted is a very special boy who until a change in area was walked with Lola and friends dog walking. I hope he has just as much fun with us ❤️ He can’t wait to share what he gets up to with you 🐾🌳

Remember, remember, the New Forest’s animals this November! 🎇

Fireworks can spook ponies 🐎 and livestock that may run into roads or fences and can hurt themselves or others. Do your part by:

🎆 Attending an organised display – or, if you’re planning your own, call on your neighbours first to ensure their animals are safe 🎆

🏮 Choosing to not release lanterns in the National Park – they can drift a long way and cause choking and fire hazards 🏮

🦔 Checking bonfires before you light them – wildlife may crawl inside to find a cosy spot 🦔

🚫 ❗ Pumpkins can be toxic to livestock and wildlife, so please don’t dump yours in the New Forest this Halloween. ❗ 🚫

🐎 Ponies, cattle, and donkeys have plenty of food available in the Forest already, and so do our other creatures. Let's not put them at unnecessary risk. 🦔

🎃 Why not use yours in a spooky craft instead? You could even bake a tasty treat or dig out a warming autumnal recipe. 🎃

🤎 Introducing Cookie to the TTL family 🤎

I first met this beautiful girl a fair few months ago now and her story is VERY special! Which I’ll share with permission of her pawrents 🥰

Cookies new family rescued her and they welcomed her into their home a few weeks before I met them all and little did they know she had a secret… well 7 in fact! Cookie was pregnant! 🐾

The night of the pups arrival came round and this is when I first met this lovely girl as I helped deliver her pups 🥰

Her pawrents have done everything and more for Cookie and for her beautiful babies. They opened their home and their hearts to the challenge of going from 0 dogs to 8 in a matter of weeks! And they smashed it!

Cookies pups have all flown the nest and I think it’s safe to say Cookie is throughly enjoying letting her hair down with her new friends ❤️

⭐️Please note Cookie has now been spayed and while I am experienced in whelping this isn’t a service I offer

Massive thank you to Hythe Tyres & Exhausts for getting me back on the road after a puncture ❤️

Isaac came with me and we had a wonder around the village while we waited. When we popped back he was very concerned to see his van getting lifted up while they sorted my tracking 😂

The 2024 pannage season in the New Forest will run from Monday, September 16 to Friday, November 22. The exact dates are determined by the New Forest Verderers and the Forestry Commission based on seasonal variations.

As always keep your dogs under close control around all livestock and pop on a lead when necessary. 🐷

PONY DRIFT (ROUND UP) THIS WEEKEND.

Due to Strangles being in the North of the Forest two drifts have been cancelled.

The next drift is on Sunday 15th at Beaulieu Aerodrome.

The following Car Parks are CLOSED.

Beaulieu Heath.
Ranswood.
Bull Hill.
Crockford.
Stockley.
Norleywood.

PLEASE DO NOT PARK ON VERGES OR IN THE ENTERANCES OF THESE CARPARKS. They need to be accessed at all times. Some will be staffed by Volunteers who can advise you where it is safe to go.

We wouldn't want a repeat of last weekend, when a car park was reopened but could not be entered as someone ignored the signs and blocked the gateway.

The closures are for the safety of everyone, and only for one morning. Please use one of the many other carparks in the Forest.

Two cycle tracks will be closed.
Ranswood to Hawkhill.
Beaulieu Aerodrome to Roundhill.

On the roads, you may be asked to stop and wait. This could be for a short time, but could be longer, it's all down to how the ponies run. Please give yourself extra time if heading across the Forest.

Again this is for the welfare of everyone and the livestock.

We need your help in finding the TWO drivers that have caused the deaths of a Donkey and Cow on New Forest Roads this week.

Please Share this post as we need this to be spread far and wide.

B3054 Lymington to Hatchet pond on Weds evening about 8.45 pm. Driver stopped after hitting a donkey, which had to destroyed by the Agister. The driver said he would report it, which we know he hasn't done.

B3078 Roger Penny Way, a red car hit a cow at Crows Nest. Again the driver has not reported.

There is a up to £5000 reward for anyone who will report these drivers. The reward is given once there is a conviction, and you can be the main part of that.

WERE YOU DRIVING THESE ROADS AT THAT TIME?

Running back to work like 🏃🏼‍♀️💨

Inca and I had a fantastic few days away 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿 but it was amazing to be back out with my little loves today 🥰 there was lots of cuddles and treats to be had so I’m sure they’ve forgiven me 😅

🩶 Newbie alert 🩶

How scrumptious is this little cutie?! 😍

Our new friend is only a baby at just 4 months 🥹 so won’t be joining the crew on walks just yet as we need to protect those growing joints
But they are loving their puppy walks which are a balance of socialisation, training and of course play 🐾

This scrumptious darling will appear on socials for you to get your puppy fix 😉 but their name won’t be made public as it’s always their guardian’s choice 🩶

We cannot believe it, But Drift season starts on Sunday 18th August 2024.

The Pony Round up (Drift) will be around the area of Ipley

The following Forestry England Car Parks will be shut to all.

Longdown and Deerleap.

The cycle track from Deerleap to Sandhole Bridge will also be shut.

The Drifts are one of the most important events that happen within the New Forest. They are vital to the ponies and foals you all love and admire.

IF everyone helps us and responds to the closures, the drift can happen smoothly and safely for all and the sites will be opened as soon as it is safe to do so.

Please for this one morning use other carparks and tracks.

Marchwood Enclosure, Kings Hat and Shatterford are some of the other sites you can visit.

There will be Forestry England Volunteers at the closed sites, advising people of an alternative place to go.

Please remember that the public cannot attend drifts.

The livestock are unpredictable, and are moving at speed. The safest thing you can do is go to another area for that day.

Please respect the Commoners and FE staff if you are told to move on, or not to enter an area. Abuse will not be tolerated.

We headed to for their devoted to dogs day 🥰
Sadie was so excited when she spotted Gav from The Family Dog Club Ltd 🐾 we’ve had a few 1-1’s together working on her confidence and engagement and walking her around the gardens today shows how far she’s come 💜

Starting the week with a slightly different post to share what Inca and I got up to at the weekend ☀️

We had our first fancy pants show 🧡 we entered two classes “junior” & “post graduate” and she took 1st in both! Just don’t ask how big the classes were 🫣 judges can choose not to place a dog so it’s still a win 💪🏻

Inca took it all in her stride and was so chilled even with all the hustle and bustle. She made sure to save her energy and have plenty of naps 😴 once we were done for the day we headed for a little dip in the sea to celebrate 🌊

Flynn’s smile will certainly cheer everyone up after the rainy day we’ve had

Flynn will be joining me for walks on a solo basis as he struggles with other dogs 💛 he’s still a very good boy who loves his toys, especially his flirt pole and already has me wrapped around his paw 🥰
