Tilly’s cat services came to the rescue of an injured female baby black bird. She was sat just off the curb on a main road and was being blown about by cars 😢🥺

But, once scooped up I called Wildlife Rescue - Moyles Court and they promptly picked her up from my home and got her better again. She had a head injury and after a week of respite was released back into the wild.

Thank you to the lovely lady Catherine who volunteers for the charity for being so kind and giving me updates on her welfare and release back into the wild. I’m so happy she’s okay 💕

I’ll be adding bird rescue to my resume ❤️🕊️🤣

LOST - LUCKY has been missing from his home in Plantagenet Crescent, Bournemouth (BH11) since 9pm on Friday 15/12. He's a male hairless, Sphinx cat so is used to being indoors in the warm. He's neutered and microchipped (but still registered to previous owner).

✨If you’re going away over Christmas and New Year and need a reliable cat sitter, please get in touch. Unfortunately it excludes Christmas Day, due to travelling to visit family, but extra food and provisions can be put down on Christmas Eve✨

You may feel that a collar on your cat is the best way to keep an eye on them, but they can pose a threat to cats. If you don’t get the right collar, your cat may get stuck out and about or get injured by it. We unfortunately have seen many cats sustain injuries due to collars and generally wouldn’t recommend them. The best way of making sure you’re reunited with them is to get your cat microchipped. 🐾 Is a cattery right for your cat?

I get asked a lot whether it’s okay to leave a cat on their own at home when you go on holiday. Each cat is different and you have to make the decision that feels right for you and your fur baby.

I have three cats of my own and have always found that they are happiest at home. 🏡

Cats are creatures of habit and sending them somewhere they don’t know and that smells different, like someone’s home or cattery, can be very unsettling. Most cats are very happy in their own company, as long as they’re warm, safe, well fed and have a clean litter tray! 🐈🐈‍⬛💕

If your cat has someone coming in each day to tend to their food, litter tray and give them some attention and playtime, I would say the home is the best place for them.

The only exception would be if your cat has a serious medical condition that needs constant observation and care. Then I would advise an in home cat sitting, house sitter service or possibly a cattery dependent on your cats personality.

- NALA has been missing from Cranleigh Road since Friday morning 28/04. She is 2 years old, spayed and microchipped and she has a distinctive anchor marking on her left foot. It's very out of character for her to leave her garden so please check sheds and garages in the area.

My poor black cat Binx has had an eye op after a suspected cat fight. He’s recovering well and taking his medications like a champ.

Two eye drops
One tablet (with the help of Webbox he’s not minded taking this)
One oral suspension.

Could you home an outdoor or feral cat on your smallholding, farm, stable or nursery? They can be a great natural solution to rodent control. In return, they require some shelter and a regular food supply. A few of our centres and branches currently have cats in need of outdoor homes.

LOST - ONYX has been missing from his home in Dereham Way, BH12 (just off Alder Hills) since Friday night 01/07. He is a 1 year old savannah, microchipped and wearing a bright blue collar. Not neutered. He has been known to wander as far as the launderette in parkstone before.

With the in full swing, cat owners should be mindful of the signs of heatstroke. 🐱🌡️ Heatstroke is a very serious condition that can cause severe dehydration, organ damage and death. Obese, long-haired, old, young and brachycephalic/flat-faced cats (such as Persians) are most at risk of developing heatstroke because they find it harder to cool down.

The most common cause of heatstroke in cats is being accidentally trapped in a hot, poorly ventilated space such as a shed, greenhouse, conservatory, or garage, so make sure to keep an eye on your cat in very hot weather! ☀️ If your cat is showing symptoms of heatstroke, start cooling them down immediately and contact your vet. The quicker your cat is cooled down and treated by a vet, the better their chance of recovery.

🧊 Please note that ice cubes are perfectly safe for cats to use as a treat to cool down on a hot day. It is when a cat is suffering from heatstroke that the drastic change in temperature from the ice can cause shock and, therefore, should be avoided. A cat’s normal body temperature ranges between 38.1-39.2°C (100.5-102.5°F).
